Well, I mean, we have VIs. Virtual intelligence. They're sentient like, to a degree, but not sapient; they're basically just programmed to compile data, run tasks and maintenance and shit. Standard stuff.

AIs are the sapient ones. They can do the whole philosophical musing thing.

Would an average person have access to a VI?

Well, I mean, the more simple ones. Obviously the complex ones are usually used for corporations, government facilities, that kind of shit. But simple VIs, yeah.
