[ here's the thing, nico's familiar with this sort of heat, it's not pleasant, especially considering how the ship normally feels, but he can handle it. does that mean he has to like it? nope. ]
Not to call this minor problem to attention, but has anyone noticed that's it's getting warmer? It isn't scorching hot but it's enough that I can tell there's a temperature difference.
[ there's a pause in the feed when nico considers leaving it just at that, because he doesn't really want to bother mentioning the other things, not until he knows more about them, but at the same time it reminds him of things from home and that's— not at all comforting. ]
How many of us have seen flickers of things this month? Not the normal shadows that most of us write off, because when do we not have those on this ship, but— I mean flickers of movement that seem to be going too fast for any of us to actually see what's moving past us. If anything.
[ and if there's a huff of air at the end of that, like nico just realized how insane he sounded, well that's his business. and it prompts him to end up just hanging up, because he's incredibly mature. ]

Video;
Both the flickers and the heat. Wasn't sure if this was normal or not. New arrival.
[She's not usually the type to admit this sort of thing. She prefers to hide any sign of vulnerabilities but... she's new and still trying to get a sense of this place.]
voice;
[ If he was any other person, the tone he uses might be relieved. Instead, what it is almost sounds faintly annoyed. Like he had hoped this was just him and not something that was going on fully in the ship. ]
I'm— from a jump before you and last month was— almost as strange as this one, though it was cooler.

[She replies in a tone that indicates that she's pretty sure it does mean something.]

[ That would sounds far more flippant if Nico didn't actually know that sometimes simple things like heat can definitely mean something. ]
Figuring out what it means when you're right in the middle of it tends to be harder than it looks. And more of a pain.

audio;
[ Not that it's working, but whatever. ]
Could just be the unusual temperature making people see things, right? [ Right? ]
audio;
[ That was completely tactless and probably mean but as they say, yolo. ]
Maybe? I'm— I've lived in hotter temperatures than this and didn't start to hallucinate.
audio;
[ Rebecca loves a good challenge. ]
Yeah, but were you in space?
audio;
[ He will break them and wish that a Hephaestus kid was here because they'd fix this. ]
No, I was in— [ Tartarus, so worse than space, just saying. ] I'm from Earth. So, no, I wasn't but isn't space supposed to be cold?

It's also good to know that shadows with unexplained sources is normal. It wasn't something that she'd noticed since her 'arrival'; but the mention of impossibly fast movement ... well, this is something that seems more then abnormal from what she's been reading. It's easy enough to assume that these things only started when she and the others who arrived woke up, so the question is ...]
Someone mentioned seeing things earlier. Could someone who just woke up be the reason for them?
perma voice
If I wasn't seeing the movement when I was in my locked room alone, maybe? Even then someone would have said something if it was them already.
Re: perma voice
Even so, does she want to tell a kid about these thoughts? The boy sounds like he hasn't even hit puberty yet after all. She decides to err on the side of 'she's probably talking to a kid and doesn't want to scare them'.]
What do you propose should be done about it?
no subject
Hell. He could be one of those people to get into a room, maybe. ]
I think the answer to that might be a little obvious.

It's more like by the day, second would mean we'd probably already be roasted people by now.

It could very well be like global warming.

On a spaceship. In space. That makes all the sense in the world.

audio.
Think they're ghosts?
audio.
Ghosts tend to be a little more transparent and easier to see. [ ha ha ha no. ]
audio.
Guess that's true. Plus, most ghosts tend to actually wanna chat. These things seem a little less person-like. [ yeah now he's just talking about loud. ] So you got any theories?

Something weird is going on. Or, you know-- weird-er.
[Which, wow: way to state the obvious, Aidan.]
audio;
Weirder than getting visions of the past and everything else. I thought it was completely normal. [ B for effort there, Aidan. ] They're not making any sound when they move past. They should— there should be at least a gust of air or something.

Does anyone have any kind of camera equipment on board? Any ship wide surveillance? If someone could catch things on tape it would at least rule out the possibility of everyone being the same brand of crazy at the same time.
[Not that... not catching them on camera would necessarily mean they were all going collectively nuts - but it would be a start.]
