This last jump left me with a pretty good collection of books and I was just wondering if anyone's been to update the library booklist since Claudius left us? Also, if there's no one running the library anymore, maybe we could get a volunteer?

And, well, I suppose to make it easier for them, if people want to reply here with the books they've gotten, that would be great.

Or, umm, if you have a look at the list I'm attaching and think there's one I ought to start with reading first, because you liked it, I'd like to know that too? I've had the textbooks for a while and gone through them a couple times.

Best Loved Classics: Poems, Short Stories, and Excerpts from the Best of Western Literature

No one is running the library? [Abby doesn't know why that surprises her, simply that it does. Oh and, since he asked...]

I prefer Shakespeare so I know the things I'd pick from the list, but what kind of things do you like to read?

Hm. [Abby ponders for a minute then refocuses again.] Well, like I said, I like Shakespeare but he's not for everyone. [A faint smile.] 1984 is good. It's about a future with a government that controls everything. To Kill a Mockingbird is about segregation and equal rights. It's sad but really good, too.

[Her smile grows a little.]

It's hard for me to pick just a few. I read a lot.

I have an academic text to contribute. It may be especially pertinent to fellow scientific minds, considering our... current predicament.

[ it's not like he's got any need for his own book. it's all in his head(s). literally. ]

There's a library here?

[ Belle is positively beaming at the very thought. She seems to visibly perk up, smiling widely. ]

I'd love to see it! I was the librarian in my world and I would be more than happy to volunteer to take care of it, if there needs to be someone.

It sounds absolutely wonderful. I do love books of all kinds, so I would love to look around.

[ Anything with books is more than enough for Belle. Even one book is enough to please her for - well, far longer than some people might be comfortable admitting. ]

Latin? [ That must be a strange new language. ] I could learn it? I do understand some ancient languages.

Wow that's quite a collection—

I don't think anyone is keeping up with the library as far as I know, but I don't mind volunteering.
