I'm looking for a men's ring. Anyone got one they don't want?

[Or in some amount of time. She's not terribly far from an elevator and his directions are clear. Who knew this was hiding back here? She had heard about people taking requests for things to forge, but she didn't know they had hidden themselves away in the cargo bay.]

[Here, have a short dwarf with braided hair waving her over. He's a bit sooty, but there is a wide smile on his face.]

[Well, that's different. First time she's ever been referred to as 'lass' or been around a forge. She gives him a small nod in greeting and glances around his workspace.]

Have you made rings before?

[Fili nods, wiping his hands off on his leather apron.]

Aye. Dwarves are adept at making all sorts of trinkets--jewelry especially.

I didn't think I'd have to make this kind of request. [She runs a hand through her hair and eyes the forge.] How long would it take you to make a ring?

[longestnose]

Depends on what sort of ring. A simple one? A day or two. Three if there need to be adjustments.

I don't need anything special. He only needs something to complement this. [She holds out her hand to show him the simple wedding ring made of a white gold band and a small diamond.]

[Fili nods.]

Don't have any jewels that I could use to put in it, if that's all right, lass.

If you don't mind me asking, am I making a wedding ring?

[ghostthatlingers]

[She shakes her head.] It doesn't need a jewel and yeah, it's a wedding ring. He found this one in his locker a while back.

[longestnose]

[Fili gives a nod.]

Then I will give it a great deal of care, still. I will have it done in two days. If it does not fit, I'll fix it easily enough.

[She returns the nod with a small smile.]

Thanks. I can drag him down here when it's finished to make sure it fits.

[He is happy to do something good like this for someone. It is better than making weapons for war.]

Hopefully you will be pleased with the finished work.

[She nods.]

As long as it's a ring that can go on his finger, it'll be fine.

Well I don't right know of any other ring type.

[He pauses, and starts to rummage through a basket filled with metals. He pulls out some shiny steel, and some more brushed and matte.]

Which would you rather prefer? We don't have any gold, so I'm a bit sorry about that.

[She runs her hand over each metal before pointing to the matte one.]

This is more than fine. I'm just glad someone on this ship has extra metal.
