in the end, she did not. it is a tricky thing, fortune and quite a riddle to guess.

An assistance is needed! For baking a cake to a friend whom I favor greatly and who, I decided, celebrates his birthday today.

That's great. My situation's different, don't know what I think of it really, but I've had a lot of friends show up here, and to them I'm already dead. That's a weird feeling. Sometimes they look at me when we're talking like they don't even believe it's me talking to 'em.

Yeah. You're right. Though the hardest part for me was really when Tex told me how I died. She was worried the guy who killed me might show up here, and she wanted me to be prepared.

And did he? Arrive here? I should hope he shall not step into this ship. Though at the very least you have your friend to help if he will.

No, he never showed up. And if he does, he'll be in a world of hurt if I know Tex. I don't think she'd kill 'im, though. She's on security detail and they sort of frown on people killing other people.

There is, certainly. But at the very least, that might keep him away from you as well. I will pray he will not come here. We have enough troubles here without such people.

You know that's right. I always thought he was a pompous jackass, myself.

A pompous jackass. Do not tell anyone I told you this, but it might be a perfect term for my brother.

I have three brothers. Out of them all, I miss him the least.

Nah, we all have people we don't get along with. Sometimes it turns out to be someone in your family. Who knew?

God does pose odd tests to us! I love the two others, certainly it's enough to redeem me from disliking the third.

I think so. I had a team, you know, in wartime your team is a lot like family, right? Well, there was this one guy, more and more I got to where I couldn't stand him. But we worked together, because we had to. It's kind of like that, I think.
