[ October got back from her definitely unintentional escapade into the depths of the ship a couple days ago, but she's been lying low since then. She hasn't even bothered checking in with her friends, but that was mostly for fear of them asking questions she doesn't really feel like answering. But right now, October's got her own questions: ]
I know there are plenty of people here who have gotten things in their lockers after their original jump here and I had a few questions for you. 1) How many people has this happened to? 2) What did you get? If you feel like sharing. No hard feelings if you don't. 3) Do you have any idea/possible theories about why you got what you did? Or got something in general?

action
[He doesn't let go until she does, Anya nudging against October's leg gently, looking for attention.]
action
Make yourself at home. [ She hasn't bothered pushing the spare bed back to the other side of the room ever since Alex stayed the night; it was pretty pointless and she liked the extra room when she slept. ]
action
[He's teasing, just lightly, as he goes to sit down on the edge of one of them, Anya immediately jumping up on them both to make herself at home.]
I am glad you're back. I figured you got lost but--
[Alex doesn't like to search for people. Not because he doesn't care, but because himself getting lost doesn't help anyone.]
action
It's fine. [ Pulling one foot beneath the opposite knee, October turns towards him, her other leg hanging off the edge of the bed. ] The less people getting lost out there, the better. It's not like anyone's ever had any luck in finding anyone. [ Not that she's heard, anyway. ]
action
[Alex gives a bit of a smirk, nudging her slightly with an elbow.]
Yeah, that's my thinking. I just--me getting lost isn't going to do you any good.
action
No, it wouldn't have, and I'd have just kicked your ass when we both got back anyway. I'm not worth the trouble and headache the halls bring.
action
[Alex shakes his head.]
Hey, you're worth a lot of trouble, October.
action
Tucking some hair behind her ear, October shifts her gaze elsewhere, a touched smile curling her lips. ] I'm glad you think so.
action
[Lord knows that Alex fakes most of his ego. But still, he smiles back.]
Well I think it's more of a 'knowing' than a 'thinking'.
action
[ She rolls her eyes a little, though she's still smiling, and bumps into him with her shoulder. ] Stop it, you'll make me blush.
action
[Alex laughs, bending his head down slightly to nudge her shoulder with his head.]
Guess I'm doing my job, then.
action
action
[Alex smiles and moves to give Anya a hug.]
Besides we're too cute to say no to.
action
She smiles at them and this time, when she shakes her head, it's a fond sort of thing. ] I'm pleading the fifth on that one.
action
[He smiles a bit bigger, laughing.]
So that means yes.
action
She rolls her eyes and lays back on the bed, one foot resting on the frame while the other stretches out. ] It means I plead the fifth. [ But yeah, he's right. ] It is nice having company, though.
action
[He shifts to look at her, shrugging.]
I mean it though...I'm really glad you are back.
action
[ And then she smiles, one hand reaching over to pet Anya while the other settles on her stomach. ] I am, too. Did I miss anything exciting?
no subject
[Alex shrugs, putting an arm under his head, looking over at her with a little smile.]
Typical for here. Probably better you missed it.

[He sighs, and shifts closer to her, grabbing one of her hands to squeeze it gently.]
Then sleep. I'm here.
[Meaning he'd keep the bad shit away. As best he could. They protected each other in the nightmares, it seemed.]

[He sighs, rubbing his thumb over the top of her hand. He's never been very good at soothing people. He tries, but he feels it always ends up awkward.]
Hey, I don't mind it.
I mean it's a good thing, right? That you're able to sleep, around me.
[Relatively nightmare free.]
no subject
I guess, yeah, but it still makes me horrible company.
no subject
[Alex smirks, nudging her slightly.]
Look, would you like me to teach you to fight or something?
