[the feed turns on and chuck is briefly out of frame for a moment as the view focuses on a collection of cup pies sitting on the kitchen counter in a variety of flavors before it turns back to her]

Been a while since I made these but they look good, right? [she just smiles, looking fairly chipper as she continues talking] They're cup pies. Single serving of pie with a honey baked crust.

I have been working with the bees on the upper floors of the oxygen gardens for the last several jumps but just yesterday I was able to harvest most of their honey so I thought I'd put it to some good use.

Though between both these cup pies and the honey, I have quite a lot here actually so if anyone is interested? Just let me know or you can meet me in the kitchens on the fifth floor.

As for how I made them, you're right. I did use the cupcake pan for it.

I'll definitely come by. It would never have occurred to me to put pie in a cupcake pan.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was trying to come up with something different though and this happened to work out perfectly.

[She teleports to just outside the kitchen and walks in normally. People tend to find her just suddenly showing up pretty disturbing, so she tends to reserve it for "Eddie is doing something stupid" circumstances.]

It's a really clever idea. I bet the boys would get a kick out of it.

[if she did just teleport, chuck wouldn't have been phased at all really but that aside she just grins when the other shows up]

Isn't it? Just the perfect size too. [she just pauses for a moment] Ah— who do you mean?

My grandkids have a bit of a sixth sense for when I'm taking sweets out of the oven.

[It's easier to just call them that then get into all the technicalities. And besides, that's what she considers them now]

Oh your grandkids— [she laughs slightly not even questioning that part] Yeah, I can imagine.

It worked out well for them that I took up baking when I did.

I guess so. Do you bake quite a bit?

Yeah, I started a couple years ago. Need to do something to pass the time!

It's kind of something I grew up doing a lot of.

I was always too busy with work until I wound up in Mayfield.

Mayfield? Is that where you're from?

Not originally. I wound up there quite unexpectedly about two and a half years ago.

Oh— kind of like ending up in this place?

The details were different, but it was another place that brought people in from all over.

Well that's the first I've heard of that— what was it like there?

On the surface, it was a happy little fifties town, complete with everyone being arranged into tidy little families. Except, the people who brought us there were using us as their playthings.

[No, she's still not impressed]

We were able to make it a better place in the end though.

Wow that really is different— but that's good that it worked out in the end, right?

It is. And the people there were wonderful. That's where the grandkids came in.

Because of that place, you mean?

Yeah. They were technically speaking my assigned husband's actual granddaughter's assigned children. But that's such a mouthful, and we really were a family by the end.

Yeah it is a mouthful, but that's nice at least that it turned out that way.

The people were definitely the best part of being there.

[Okay maybe the only good part]

[she just nods in understanding] I guess the same can be said for the this place despite everything that happens here.
