[Smart phones this advanced are not something Mohinder is use to. Luckily, he's a child of the information and technology age and figuring out the more or less intuitive operating system of the device in his hand is not at all difficult. Thumbing along the touch screen, and bypassing the entertainment sections (films and books on a mobile? How remarkable!), Mohinder comes across what looks to be an electronic bulletin or message board. At least, that's the closest approximation he can make for the network. Perhaps it's similar to the listserv his University uses? Either way he has every intention to check into it later, after he leaves this post:]

My name is Mohinder Suresh. I seem to be unable to contact anyone I know using this device, as it it does not seem to be connected to a cellular network. This might sound ridiculous, but could someone tell me where I am?

[Mohinder is not known for making sound life decisions, but he'd rather think he is lost and this really is some sort of odd American hospital than going mad. He hits the send button and glances around again the hallway he's paused in.  Nothing looks like a hospital around here at all. 'Going mad,' unfortunately, seems to be what's happening after all.]

[The voice is low, young, male, and articulate, but a little bit flat. The speaker's accent is vaguely English.]

[Mohinder blinks at the reply, not in text at all. It takes a moment for him to reply. There's not doubt the British accent to his voice. Nor the fear.]

To be perfectly honest with you, I'd rather hoped it to be a trick.

[Perhaps a little paranoid, and understandably so, Mohinder is quiet for a moment. He's still disoriented. His memories have not returned completely yet.]

I was... I was with a man named Zane Taylor. We were planning on visiting... Montana I believe.

Suresh, that's a Hindu name if I am not mistaken?

[Her accent is clearly British and slightly clipped on some words but not very distinguished.]

My name is Bela Talbot. You've been brought onto a ship known as the Tranquility.

[At least this time he's capable of using the voice reply without too much of a wait.]

Yes. Perhaps not as famously popular as Patel. It is Hindi however.

[Of the people he's spoken with, many seem British. That's not a comfort as he had just been in America. ]

I'm having some trouble with believing the spaceship angle, frankly.

Many people do when they first arrive. They don't believe where people tell them where they are but it is the truth.

[She lets her words hang there for a few moments before continuing.]

I have been here for about sixteen months now and others have been here longer. They can verify what I have told you.

It's not that I don't believe you...

[It's more that he wishes he didn't have to.]

But sixteen months... What do you do here?

[ Some other Mohinder Suresh, Nathan thinks. His instinct is never to think that there are people he might know here. The universe is much too vast, and it's been a long time since Claire left, a long time since Isaac's death, and otherwise Peter and Sylar have been here in varying degrees, and they're much closer to him. There's a habit for this ship to collect people that know each other, but from a variety of universes and times, and with so very much to choose from Mohinder Suresh shouldn't be such an unlikely name. There's no reason to believe it's the same Mohinder Suresh he knows--at least until he hears his voice.

And then there are more serious questions like what does he know, and when is he from, because Nathan is busy protecting Peter from certain truths, and this man - this man - had been experimenting on his little brother. Well, and on him, actually. That hasn't slipped his mind either, and he has a big problem with both.

So he approaches this diplomatically, for now, but he'd be more than prepared to break Mohinder's nose if he had to--scratch that, if he got the slightest opportunity. It had been no coincidence that he'd put him on the first flight to knockout drugs and a long sleep. ]

Suresh. Do you remember me?

[It is perfectly acceptable to be cautious. Had Mohinder been allowed to carry on as he was, he would have become a person much less trustworthy. For now, however, he's quite a confused and very recent transplant from India, still trying to find his footing. This does not translate well to the Tranquility. However, it was not long ago that he had met Nathan. Or rather, tried to warn him of a killer.]

Mister Petrelli? The last time he met you had your body guards escort me away from you. How curious to find you here.

[ That was definitely a while ago, and it's a relief in a small way - and amusing, because well, Nathan had been right the first time. ]

It's Senator Petrelli, now, and I'm afraid to say that I've been here a year. You're the stranger here, Doctor.

Has anyone explained to you where you are?

[It's all quite a lot to swallow but though Mohinder is a skeptic, he is also a believer. It takes only once presenting him with the unexplainable to get him hooked. There are so many people telling him the same thing-- He's not the sort of man to disregard them. Freaking out on the other hand-- Excuse the momentary mutter in Hindi. It's not that pleasant, no matter the melodic turn of tongue.]

Senator. I'm surprised our chance meeting allowed you to still remember me.

[So...time travel now.]

As for knowing my current lot in life-- Yes. Unfortunately, it sees that this is a space ship called the Tranquility.

Did you get the details yet?

Details... Yes. I can not bring myself to readily believe them.

[chuffle]

Well, believing them is the hard part this go around, it seems. Just don't suggest we're a hallucination.

[A pause.]

Daphne Morales-Kocchar.

[She figures that it doesn't look like there are any Mexicans on board, and now there's at least one other Indian.]

Daphne. A pleasure.

[The hyphenated last name gives him pause, but it's not all that uncommon, he supposes, outside of India.]

And I've seen enough in recent days...not on board this vessel...to easily disregard 'hallucination.' Unfortunately.

That's a more difficult question to answer than you'd think, brotha.

I don't suppose there's a place to find tea? I've always been partial to caffeinated drinks when under stress.

Kitchens, maybe. At the worst, I'd be shocked if they weren't growing something in the oxygen gardens just for that purpose.

[ Claiming he's at the end of his rope would be one of those ridiculous, cliche'd things to pretend applies to Peter, only in the sense that Peter's fairly sure he actually is. But Peter's got a hell of a lot more rope than he thinks he does, and while this isn't exactly as upsetting as some of the things that have gone on, as of late, it's not exactly normal. Or, well, expected. But waking up in space hadn't been expected either, or being told he had amnesia.

Not to mention, how did Mohinder manage to miss out on an actual explanation?

But it might, maybe, not even be Mohinder, which is why Peter's flipped onto the video setting, just to nudge him along. He hasn't even seen him for nearly a year and Peter (and his not-quite-so-hideous buzz cut) is just a tad flummoxed. ]

[Mohinder is spectacularly gifted on missing out on the obvious at every juncture until he has moments of 'Eureka!' that almost always cause him to be injured, mutated, crazed, or all three. He is an extraordinarily unlucky, well intentioned, and blindingly idiotic genius of a man. Wonderful.

When the second Petrelli he's met in recent days contacts him via a video conference call -- so very advanced these things! -- Mohinder is glad to reply in the same. He is much calmer now. Tired. Confused a great deal. But able to smile.]

Peter was it?

[A curious thing, this. He almost wants to ask if the other's learned to fly just yet. Perhaps he should be less rude, however.]

[ ... Peter doesn't have the slightest idea how to approach this. Which basically means following Nathan's lead and hoping for the best; pretending that he's not affected is equally as important, really. At least for the time being. ]

Yeah. It's Peter.

[ You are really behind the times, bro. Not that Peter's one to talk. ]

[She does a second take at the name. Hindu, yes. But it is shame to take notice that he most likely has no relations to a man she knew once who was named Tejinder. Actually, it is both a shame as it is a blessing.]
