Is there a library to be found somewhere on this vast vessel? I wish to learn of the space we are travelling through. More importantly, of the people on the worlds we might come to.

Failing that, would anyone here be able to explain the local political and cultural climate?

We have a digital library, and a friend of mine is in the process of setting up a library of books. I can't promise you'll find much information there. Details are scarce.

But I can answer your questions about the Tranquility's social and political structure, if you like. You'll have to be more specific, though.

The ship is divided between those who act as a part of the crew, and therefore follow maritime structure, and civilians. We have a civilian council meeting once monthly, just before each jump, but I wouldn't say it's formal. Each member was volunteered, and needed to be backed by another in order to have a position, but that was months ago, and communication has improved since then.

There's too few people here for a true government, and the command structure tends to work just fine in general terms. Were there ten times as many of us, things might be different. And were that the case, I'd probably be the one spearheading reform.

[well, he may not know bail on any kind of a personal level yet, but that doesn't mean he's an unfamiliar face. he still remembers sitting behind palpatine as he settled the debate between organa and divinian (all two minutes it took), frustrated by the chancellor's decision, right up until he explained his reasoning later. remembers, however unwanted, all that followed soon after.]

Senator Organa. [alright, so sharing information is something obi-wan (and yes, even quinlan) are better suited to. but bail's from their galaxy, which means he can't just ignore his presence here.] There is very little information available regarding our location. We are in an area of space that nobody here seems to be familiar with.

[Years in politics have left Bail very able to control his facial expression. But there are limits. And seeing Anakin so alive and... uncrispy? There's no hiding that shock. There's a moment before he can speak. Seeing Obi-Wan so young did not prepare him for that.]

Skywalker. I... did not expect to find you here.

[bail's reaction is noted with a hint of concern. but he doesn't press it. instead, it's far easier to write it off as a simple surprise at seeing a familiar face aboard the tranquility already. and considering his conversation with obi-wan already, it's clear that timelines may be a possible issue again.]

The feeling is a mutual one. Or rather, I had hoped that nobody else from our galaxy would be brought here.

I've been here just long enough to say if you go exploring, it's probably best you take someone to watch your back. Just in case.

So far, I haven't ventured anywhere near a window, but I can honestly say this is one of the biggest ships I've been on.

Not a one, I'm afraid. There are some belonging to passengers that may prove more easily read, but the ones aboard the ship are in no language I've ever seen.
