[ When the feed kicks up to life, a face can be seen for a split second; big, green eyes, freckles and a crown of golden hair.

A split second, then the girl screams and flees. But then someone else comes to view, a chameleon! Who gives all of you this impressed look and seems to try and coax the girl to come closer, pointing its tail to the device. She can be heard mumbling to herself out of view. ]

Well, it didn't explode. I don't know Pascal, they could be cannibals -

[ but eventually, she does come closer and picks up the device and then, you can finally see her. Green eyes, freckles and golden hair.

A lot of it, a silky trail of gold that seems to fill the room. You cannot see its end. ]

Well, Tranquility, the name is kind of an oxymoron aha, we've been here for two days now. Two days and a half really, oh mother will kill me, and actually, I simply -

It was my birthday! Just yesterday, ha! I was eighteen in space, I bet not many can say that. But the thing is I kiiiinda wasn't supposed to leave my tower and I really meant to only be gone for one day to finally make my dream come true for my birthday and I!

So now I'm eighteen and...two days. And I'm still here. In space.

[ and suddenly it seems to excite her. ]

I'm stuck on a possibly living ship in outer space, with men eating aliens and possibly ruffians for two whole days and I'm alive! Ha! Take that mother.

Well, anyway, my name's Rapunzel and this here is Pascal and what we really wanted to ask was, I know these jumps occur every month and I was just wondering if there is anything to wrap around my hair for the next jumps since if we're going to stay since who wouldn't want to stay on a men eating spaceship, it'll maybe become a bit of a problem to wash - whatever it was from my hair every month.

[ a pause and ]

[Yeah, Murphy isn't going to comment on the "cannibals" part. Mostly because he isn't sure if the manticores really count or not, and that's not something he even wants to think about.

Moon's overrated. Dreadfully boring, nothing exciting happening on the Moon at all, if you were wondering.

I might have something lying around for your hair. [Effie keeps hers relatively short, if only because it's easier to hide underneath all her wigs.] Though have you considered styling it into something more...manageable? It must take hours for you to comb it all out even during [relatively] ordinary days.

[Okay, there was no way that someone in a fairytale would exist, so in LB's mind, Rapunzel was just some sort of codename like her own moniker -- Laughing Beauty -- was.]

I don't want to repeat what everyone else said -- eheheh -- but you really should cut your hair; it gives more for enemies to grab onto, you know.

[She gives a little smile to the chameleon, though.]

I wouldn't listen too much about the talk about the ship, sistah. It doesn't try killing us nearly as often as people might think.

[Sorry Rapunzel, you speak and he listens but Kili's really distracted by your hair. It's just really shiny and golden, and while he was never really affected by the gold sickness dwarrows can fall prey to, Kili does love golden hair. So, uh, have a somewhat awestruck dwarf on your screen. ...hi?]

[ Said a bit too quickly, and then she chuckles, pulls on her trail of hair until some of it rests in her lap. ]

Haha - no, I certainly don't want it chopped off. Ever. Ever. I simply need something to keep it safe when the ship....jumps.

Not even one moon? Where have you landed then? The ship must land somewhere...right?

One hour and forty three minutes, to be exact. Two if the day is humid but I don't mind! it sure passes the time.

There're more things you gotta worry 'bout than just the jumps. Hair that long could get easy to grab if you're, uh... ever in a pinch. [Not that he's trying to worry her or anything, but.

No, no, this ship hasn't landed on the Moon. I did, though. I've been. It's not very exciting, I promise.

[ IT'S VOICE so jenna will just be making 'oh my god, cool' faces-- followed by 'poor thing' just as fast after-- on her end while she keeps her voice easy and casual. ]

Well, I actually happen to be... kind of a professional listener, so if you ever want more than two minutes I don't mind. And as for the hair: maybe braiding?

...somehow? [ the logistics are baffling her honestly. ]

It isn't...difficult to manage? [She can honestly say she's never seen anything quite like it.]

Oh, no. But your hair might be too long to completely fit in it. [She means one of her wig caps. Rapunzel's hair is definitely too long.] If worst comes to worst, we can always sew together a few shower caps, just to keep your hair dry. It would be a shame to cut it all off.
