[ Rose shakes her head. ] It's just grass. The only essential function it serves is to give mowers something to do in idle hours. I can weave a lot of this together, probably.

Big enough to get very easily lost in, if you so desire. As you yourself found out. Most interesting is that the large number of unoccupied rooms implies a sizeable crew that hasn't yet materialized, or has recently disappeared.

I do not believe either one is favorable...
