[ there's something to be said about how ric put off replying to this until after someone else told her. he knows— knew what it meant when a device hadn't been used since the jump and stubbornly he may have looked at the new floor thinking maybe he was one of those people who randomly left and had their numbers changed. it's not unheard of, but it's not common either.

but the fact of the matter is that he's at home and they're still here and isn't that just a fun thing. ]
