So, most 'a you already know that a few of us did some exploring of the deeper parts of the ship last month, and found a painting that seemed dead set on stalking us through the hallways. Jaye put up pictures of the thing if you missed that somehow. If anyone with chemistry skills has some free time, I've got a bottle here with some of the paint, or whatever it is, that I flaked off of one instance of the painting, since we thought it might be helpful to know what exactly a moving mural is made of. Lemme know if you're interested.

The organs may be cunningly hidden, but seems an impossible thing to guage.

Not impossible. Just takes some effort. I'm guessing it's synthetic, anyway. Only reason it can move is 'cause some asshole in control of it was tryin' to freak us out.

[northerner]

Whoever it is, they've a better knowledge of the ship than we do. There's much of it that has gone charted.

All the more reason for those of us who can explore it safely to do so. All this "don't go exploring" nonsense, it's like a buncha kids afraid of the dark.

[northerner]

Shall you venture out again?

[idkmybffbloodwing]

Yeah. Not sure when, yet, but I'd rather go sooner than later. There's a lot out there we haven't found, I can guarantee that much.

[northerner]

I would offer my company, were you to go out again.

I'll keep that in mind, then. You think your wolf'd mind carrying some supplies? Gotta have more pack room with an extra person along.

[northerner]

[ there's a hum of laughter, punctuated by the scratch of claws on the floor. ]

Perhaps. Grey Wind does as he pleases, but perhaps he can be coaxed to play pack horse.

Yeah, that's kinda what I'd figured. The main reason we were able to carry enough for all of us last time was that weird furry alien thing followed us along so we just tied everything we couldn't carry to it, instead of makin' Jaye be the pack horse. Y'know, literally.

What manner of beast did you was following you?

I dunno what it was, or where it went afterward, just that it was followin' Jaye around when we were about to leave. Guess it must be someone's pet. At least it made itself useful.

Perhaps we can make use of it again, if it is still within the ship.

I sure wouldn't mind, it was handy havin' it along. Just gotta find it, first.

[northerner]

A harder task than one would think, I'd assume.

On a ship this big, yeah. But I have a feeling if we wanted to go out an' just asked on the network if anyone had seen a giant bear-squirrel creature with fangs, someone'd tell us where it is.

[northerner]

And then we lure it to our side? Or hope for it to take us into its good graces?

Well like I said, last time it just followed Jaye, originally. I ended up makin' it a kind of harness an' leash with some rope just so it didn't try to run off with all our supplies, an' it seemed like it didn't mind being led along. Except for the holes, it didn't really like those much.

Then maybe Jaye can find it again. Perhaps it is more partial to her than it would be to either of us.

Well, when we get going again, we can ask her. She might even know who it belongs to by now.
