video. { a crown of gold, a heart of stone }
[ Perhaps it a bit too late for this sort of conversation, but Erik necessitates its need anyway; the Tranquility has nearly always been a bastion for acceptance and tolerance, and the idea was constantly perpetuated throughout his previous stay here, something that deeply unsettled him. He's in a deserted room, particularly one that Alex Summers might be familiar with from their training sessions long ago, but his reason for being there is more along the need for silence. ]
For those of you who remember my face, I can assure you, you're not mistaken. [ He pauses for a moment, because while it needs to be said, it still angers him that he's back here. ] The ship has brought me back since then. For those of you who don't, [ welllllll. ] I expect we'll be acquaintances soon enough. [ But not really. ] In the meantime, you can call me Magneto. [ Except the fifty billion people that still call him Erik. ]
No doubt all the lectures have made it clear that the ship is not, in any way, safe, and this is hardly any different. I won't speak on false pretenses that unity is what matters, but my issue at hand is this: if you are non-human of any sort, vampires, werewolves, mutants, what have you, I urge you to seek solidarity only among your own kind. It is our strengths that will allow us to survive, our own inherited abilities, and we must use these to secure the ship against its ongoing threats.
We must defend ourselves by striking out towards the enemy and to an equal degree, protect the sections of the ship we have acquired. While the Security team has this under control, the ship's size makes this difficult. [ Considering Erik is on SEC, this is just asking for double protection. ] Your offense is our best defense.
PRIVATE » Alex Summers [ All that he gets is a ping to notice this, because the location should be familiar to him: its where Alex and he had trained a while ago and there are some things better discussed in person than over these. ]

video;
You can mock it all you want, but where I come from, humans offer nothing of value when it comes to survival. And here, I have yet to see any measure of success from them.
[ Bullshit or not, it's his stance. ]
video;
Soooo all the people keeping this ship running, none of them are regular old human? Guides were all written by a vampire? How about whatever's out there killing people, you gonna extend the hand of friendship to it too?
[ stiles shakes his head. ]
I haven't been here that long, but I'm pretty sure you're doing the leadership equivalent of hey guys, I have a great idea, let's split up! And I have watched enough slasher movies to know that never ends well.
video;
[ Not entirely the truth, as while Stiles has a perfectly valid point in his argument, Erik's tendency to be one sided over a lot of things takes precedence here. Stiles' need to fit in might be appealing to anyone else, but with Erik, it's the equivalent of the weakest struggling to survive. ]
What's out there killing our people is the enemy. [ And the answer to Stiles' question is a resounding no. ] And since it appears I need to simplify matters further, the only splitting up here is my kind versus yours. [ To Erik, it's still group solidarity, however flawed it might be. ]
I have no intention of sitting idly by and letting any more people lose their lives to the ship, but I will not ask for cooperation from a group that has historically proven themselves to step on the backs of others.
[ Despite the fact that that is exactly what Erik is doing right now. ]
video;
What if I don't want to versus anyone.
[ he gives a frustrated grimace, rolling his eyes so hard and so melodramatically that they may actually fall out of his head. ]
If you wanna round up some sort of bootcamp army to take on the nightmare ship, fine. Whatever. But my friends and I fight together, so screw your persecution complex.
video;
And when your friends fight for their lives, I assume you'll be right behind them?
[ It doesn't take a genius for Erik to realize that Stiles' friends are all superhuman of some sort, but what he intends on doing is trying to introduce some sort of divide between the two. In his mind, humans and non-humans have no place in becoming fast friends whatsoever. ]
How many times have you found yourself defenseless, only for them to rescue you?
video; auggie locked;
[ stiles tips his chin up, thinking with a grim kind of pride of all the times he's come close to death just so his friends wouldn't be put in that kind of position. ]
I'll be standing in between them and whatever's coming.
[ which is super bad-ass and all, real cape blowing in the wind sort of moment, until he suddenly fumbles with the communicator with wide eyes and ruins it. ]
Oh my god, crapola. My dad can not see this.
[ thankfully they've taught him how to set shit to private. stiles hisses through his teeth, kicking himself for talking about any of this publicly when it's so obviously a long way from hypothetical. ]
