[Okay, he must be seeing things, but... Wow, this girl looks familiar -- kind of like a certain "near mind-reader" that came at him with a knife fairly recently, actually. She seems different, though.
[Focus, Pendleton.]
Never knew my mother. I was raised by other people, so... there was that option. Or you live alone, I guess.
They tell you what to do. And they make you pancakes when they feel guilty. And they clean the guns even if you already did. But mothers make the plans.
[Hello to the FEELINGS. Claudius has been talking in video a lot more lately but he'd be a stuttering mess if he had to address this one aloud.]
I suppose one's actions when losing a mother must be based on her place in your life, and also on the manner of her loss. Some people hold their mother more dearly than others, and feel a greater sense of grief and obligation upon their death. But nearly everyone I have known considers the relationship an important one.
Then there is the question of how she died, or was lost. If it was not by natural causes, or through injustice, one may consider it necessary to avenge her death. If however she died of old age, or sickness, or by her own hand, then there is little more to do than to carry out whatever burial rites and honoriums she would have wished, and mourn. If one has other family members or friends who remember her and also feel sorrow, spending time in their company may bring some measure of consolation.

It's what I did. [Of course she was without a mother due to illness. It's not quite the same as not having one at all.]
