I've seen my fair share of aliens, but not really this kind of thing. I'm just used to generic tough stuff.

Tyke does what she can, but it's a big ship with a lot of people and things that no one on SEC is used to dealing with.

Even a lot of other spacefarers around here are still used to Earth, to some form of civilization. They don't have the mercs or the slavers or the cults behind every moonrock that we have where I'm from.

I think Tyke thinks I'm a loose cannon. Just as well; I don't take orders that well unless they're from a much more... authoritative source.

Not quite as many of those where I'm from. Invasions, sure. Wars. Human subspecies, alien creatures instead of intelligent alien races.
