[Despite all of the incredible and sometimes unbelievable things that Wanda’s seen and experienced in her life, nothing quite prepares her for her arrival on the Tranquility. It isn’t even the fact that she’s unexpectedly woken up on a spaceship that throws her off-balance (though it's quite unexpected), or even the fact that time and space and reality seem to work differently there (because really she's sort of used to that). It's that Pietro isn’t there during a decidedly difficult point in her life (after-life?) that impacts her the most. She can’t remember a time they've ever been parted in such a way, and the feeling is extremely unsettling.

Taking a deep breath, she sets her communication device to broadcast her message in video. She's dressed in her Ultimates uniform, though only the top of the red leather shows on screen. By all appearances seems to be in her early to mid-twenties, with an unusual amount of confident and poise evident in her body language.]

Good evening, my name is Wanda Maximoff and I'm another of the recent arrivals.

[Of course, it's not her real last name, but both she and Pietro adopted it after breaking ties with their father, and it was far easier to go through life not reminding people that they were the children of the infamous Magneto.]

I'm looking for any information regarding my brother, Pietro. It seems that he did not arrive with me, but considering the nature of where we are and shifting realities, any news as to whether he was here in the past would be appreciated.

[She shouldn't really need to add that if he arrives in the future she'd also like to know, right? Surely everyone here has some common sense regarding such matters. From all of the FAQ's she's read recently, they seem more on top of matters than she might have expected of most people. Wanda pauses, and after a moment continues.]

Also, has anyone managed to determine how many different dimensions and points in time we represent on board? Which worlds are similar and which ones are clearly separate, for instance?

[She's curious, not just because of her own dealings with altering reality, but because she's hoping that someone will be able to give her a basic idea of who she's dealing with on board and perhaps even which ones are from worlds similar to her own. Mentioning mutants or any groups by name would draw attention she's not sure she wants yet. Not until she knows who's listening on the other end.]

But in the general sense, no, it's not something I'm unfamiliar with. And yourself?

[Murphy shrugs as well.] Not really... I'd be more surprised if there was a rhyme or reason to any of this.

[And maybe more concerned. As it stands, he's met a small handful of people who have shared similar ordeals as him, and none served any greater purpose. In a way, he feels like the same thing applies here. Just senseless, random, stupid chances.]

I've seen reality do some crazy shit. Not like this -- most of the time... [Silent Hill 2.0 was already a Thing That Happened.] ...But I think I'm actually gettin' used to the general concept.

I suppose such things become familiar eventually with time, considering the circumstances.

Considering the circumstances... I've been stuck here for around... six months. [Physically speaking, in any case.] Pretty sure, anyway. So either I am used to it by now, or I'm locked up in a padded room somewhere.

[Murphy that is a terrible joke, considering some of the people you're friends with.]

Kinda. You can also tell how long a person's been here by the number on their arm... usually.

No rhyme or reason to the numbers, I assume? From what I've seen they all appear to have been chosen at random. Well, the last set of three, that is.

Doubt there's a reason. Chances are, it's just part of the system they got here... We've had people runnin' around with the same names, so taggin' their type would make it easier for... whoever runs this can, I guess.

[Plus Murphy's also thinking with the logic of inmate numbers (RS 273A). Prison. Sometimes, that's what it feels like here. Just with more recreational freedom and places to go.]

Yes, I suppose it would be the logical thing to do, although you would think that they might have chosen something less iconic in location.

[Because the parallels to holocaust prisoner tattoos is not particularly comforting for someone whose grown up facing a great deal of prejudice.]

You mean the arm? [Eh, he can see why that would be unsettling to some.] Can't think of any other place to put 'em that still wouldn't piss me off. I don't... like bein' branded like fuckin' cattle.

...yes, you have a point. Arguing over the location would mean little when there's much to argue about instead over the fact that it's there at all.

Yeah... a handful of 'em are, actually, though I can't say I've bothered to check how many are left.

[Oh, oops. He realizes that he's already got her name over the network that he doesn't always think to introduce himself in return. Durr durr.

[She's not offended, but after giving her name she likes to get the names of those she's ~~exchanging information~~ conversing with.]
