Right, so. [ Which isn't what he planned to open with, hang on, let's rewind. ] My name's Peter Petrelli. I'm from New York, year 2006. I've read back on the network enough to get a decent idea about what's going on, but not nearly enough to make sense. I did read that we have a medbay, and that I was here before. So uh, sorry about this, but I don't remember being here the first time around.

I guess what I'm trying to say is — who do I actually talk to about getting on the medical team?

Oh, and I can't figure out the space microwave. A little help with that, maybe?

Four years nursing school, one year internship, licensed as an RN in New York state and I just started as a hospice nurse a few months ago.

I'm hoping I don't actually need to present credentials here?

No, we're functioning on an honor system at the moment.

But we could use that kind of experience.

That can get tricky. [ Honor system is good and all until someone turns out to be a mass murderer or Dr. Mengele. ]

Out of curiosity, how many nurses do we have on board?

I'm trying to implement training sessions to gauge skill levels. It's even harder when you take into account the fact that not everyone comes from the same planet, or...time period.

Nurses, uh. [ONE SECOND gotta check.] Four on record, not including you, with a few new arrivals. So it's...not ideal.

What's the doctor-patient ratio, at least? Is it any better? [ Ignoring the time and universe disparities, a one-to-a-hundred ratio is probably a pretty bad ratio, right? ]

I wish I could tell you it was, but--

It's more-or-less four doctors and about two hundred passengers.

One to fifty. That's less than ideal, but some cities in the world's run with less, right? [ After all, there are nurses too! Still not ideal, but still. If wishes were coins and all that. ]

We make it work, somehow. Having a support staff helps.

I'm getting the feeling having anyone at all helps.
