page one : the introduction
[ This video starts out much like any other - new person being mildly awkward, staring a little to the left. Sheepish might be a good descriptor for Peter at the moment. ]
Right, so. [ Which isn't what he planned to open with, hang on, let's rewind. ] My name's Peter Petrelli. I'm from New York, year 2006. I've read back on the network enough to get a decent idea about what's going on, but not nearly enough to make sense. I did read that we have a medbay, and that I was here before. So uh, sorry about this, but I don't remember being here the first time around.
I guess what I'm trying to say is — who do I actually talk to about getting on the medical team?
Oh, and I can't figure out the space microwave. A little help with that, maybe?

This'll be my third month. Jump. Either way -- still bright-eyed and bushy-tailed compared to the real vets. [the humor in his tone is pretty audible, but there's a backbone of seriousness holding it together. LOOK AT HOW NORMAL HE IS!!]
But you got me there. It's a little... not sure how to put it. "The goop tube is always half-empty?" I'm all for the power of positive thinking, but trust me -- after a while, it's better to go in expecting the worst. That way it's always a pleasant surprise when you just feel like throwing up, versus actually doing the deed.

Three m— that's a long time, if you ask me. Three years in space and no one's gotten calcium degradation yet? This ship's gravity and oxygen balance is that good? [ If this is what the future looks like-- give him 21st century any day, thanks.
Peter huffs a small laugh, sounding a bit overwhelmed and lost - it's been his default setting these past few days. ]
People get jaded really easy around here, don't they.

Which, honestly. Space. I'm not sure I'm buying it entirely yet. It sounds pretty damn crazy.

[ he sounds serious. and also "sounds" is apparently a bad word around here. ]
How bad does it get?
