for a normally well-groomed man, he looks fairly different from the usual-- dude's tore up from the floor up. he's also stripped down to a white undershirt despite what are pretty obvious signs of hypothermia, his hair matted and sweaty and with a month's worth of beard covering his face. he's staring at the wall beyond the communicator with rapt fascination, eyes wide and glazed.

after a long moment, he shrugs one shoulder in a jerky, awkward looking move and looks down, engaging in the world again with a shift that takes a moment. ]

Our smiling friend's not feeling chatty anymore, I don't think. Your loss-- we really bonded out there. Great conversationalist for a guy with no voice, that one.

[ his gaze drifts back to the wall, like he's forgotten he's talking to anyone else. ]

I still think there's merit to discussing the economic allegories potentially implied by the Wizard of Oz-- and don't start in on intent versus interpretation, death of the author is a valid concept even if you won't admit it. Did you know that rabbits are designed to be incapable of vomiting? Of course in the wild, it isn't an issue. Rabbits will instinctively eat the right balance of food in order to keep themselves healthy and functioning. They'll even eat their own faeces to be sure that they gain all the nutrients from the food they first ate.

It's in captivity that they face their biggest issues with digestion. Humans will oftentimes feed them an unbalanced diet, and due to their inability to regurgitate food, they can sometimes become blocked, and this will occasionally give the appearance of the rabbit having vomited. Of course, by that point, the rabbit will have undoubtedly suffocated, as they would be unable to remove the waste from their own mouths and noses.

It's...upsetting. Humans attempt to care for them. But they ultimately do more harm for them than good.

No, that's an understatement. She's fucking pissed the hell off at Neal Caffrey. Pissed off because he left, pissed off because he wasn't there for her when she was in medical, pissed off because he's been gone for so long, and pissed off because he clearly didn't have the best month ever. She's pissed off because it's easier to deal with than being worried, but the worry is there, too -- just as strong, just as bright. It's what makes her go down to medical instead of just talking to him over the comms, her status in the Agriculture department meaning she can get in and out as she pleases when it comes to the gardens and her abilities as a shapeshifter meaning she can crawl through the vents to get into medical without waiting for someone to let her in.

She drops down from the ceiling as a cat and then shifts back, walking through the beds until she finds him. She doesn't sit down right away, just stands there and looks at him and shakes, hands clenching into fists and then unclenching, only to clench back up again. ]
