( 09 ) video ♧ there must be some way out of here said the joker to the thief
[ the feed opens on a shot of neal's thigh, swaddled in what looks like an armada of sheets, his sherlock's left-behind coat crumpled behind him, buffering the cold of the wall. then it slowly, jerkily moves up until everyone can get a lovely partial view up his nose.
for a normally well-groomed man, he looks fairly different from the usual-- dude's tore up from the floor up. he's also stripped down to a white undershirt despite what are pretty obvious signs of hypothermia, his hair matted and sweaty and with a month's worth of beard covering his face. he's staring at the wall beyond the communicator with rapt fascination, eyes wide and glazed.
after a long moment, he shrugs one shoulder in a jerky, awkward looking move and looks down, engaging in the world again with a shift that takes a moment. ]
Our smiling friend's not feeling chatty anymore, I don't think. Your loss-- we really bonded out there. Great conversationalist for a guy with no voice, that one.
[ his gaze drifts back to the wall, like he's forgotten he's talking to anyone else. ]
I still think there's merit to discussing the economic allegories potentially implied by the Wizard of Oz-- and don't start in on intent versus interpretation, death of the author is a valid concept even if you won't admit it. No more of the drawings, I'm tired of rabbits. Not even the Warholian ones.
[ he chuckles, hums a few bars and then murmurs to himself, smile tilting blank and frightened for a moment. ] Seventy-three men sailed up from the San Francisco Bay.
[ and now back to the communicator, with the first sign of any lucidity he's displayed yet: ]
I think I could use some help.
( ooc | SO NEAL IS BACKfrom outer space. in-game it's early o'clock the morning of the thirty first. his walkabout went horrible and smiley took him on a little tour of the ship; he's suffering from moderate heading to severe hypothermia and dehydration with a nice dose of needs a damn sandwhich for good measure, so no straight answers on what's happened just yet.

Rolled off of their ship, and here's what they had to say / "We're callin' everyone to ride along to another shore / We can laugh our lives away and be free once more"--
[ wait ]

isn't represented;
it doesn't occur on the canvas.
For the other side of the ship
is Heaven and Eternity,
with a bleak red haze over its valleys.
And the immense water of L'Estaque is a go-between
for doomed shuttles.
[ hey neal that isn't strictly how ginsberg put it. ]
Oh, I would.

It's in captivity that they face their biggest issues with digestion. Humans will oftentimes feed them an unbalanced diet, and due to their inability to regurgitate food, they can sometimes become blocked, and this will occasionally give the appearance of the rabbit having vomited. Of course, by that point, the rabbit will have undoubtedly suffocated, as they would be unable to remove the waste from their own mouths and noses.
It's...upsetting. Humans attempt to care for them. But they ultimately do more harm for them than good.
OH GOD CAS ;;
When'd you get back? [ he looks up at castiel with solemn blue eyes, blinking once or twice. ] Or is this another one of those.
[ he means hallucinations. ]
he loves you neal don't be broken

[Harvey knows this song, of course he would. He laughs briefly, because he thought of the ship and goddamn isn't that a funny thought. The ship is no way a place to inspire laughter or freedom.]

Help me think of an escape route so I can come get you. I'm currently in the O2 Garden, about fifty yards from the exit with dozens of passengers between. I'd say... six security guards, and about ten people that are watching me from different angles as we speak. What's my best shot at getting out?

action;
No, that's an understatement. She's fucking pissed the hell off at Neal Caffrey. Pissed off because he left, pissed off because he wasn't there for her when she was in medical, pissed off because he's been gone for so long, and pissed off because he clearly didn't have the best month ever. She's pissed off because it's easier to deal with than being worried, but the worry is there, too -- just as strong, just as bright. It's what makes her go down to medical instead of just talking to him over the comms, her status in the Agriculture department meaning she can get in and out as she pleases when it comes to the gardens and her abilities as a shapeshifter meaning she can crawl through the vents to get into medical without waiting for someone to let her in.
She drops down from the ceiling as a cat and then shifts back, walking through the beds until she finds him. She doesn't sit down right away, just stands there and looks at him and shakes, hands clenching into fists and then unclenching, only to clench back up again. ]
You left, [ she finally half-growls, her voice something like an injured animal, angry and afraid. It pitches higher, something frantic. ] And now you're back and you're not the same.
action;
[ neal looks up at her with eyes still glazed over, the drugs running through his iv and into his veins numbing everything-- still, after a moment he turns his face away, slumped down small and stripped of all usual vitality, too white skin shocking against off white sheets. ]
I leave everyone, Jaye. I can't seem to stop.
