say you love someone more than anything, and thinking about them helps you get through every day while you're stuck, say, on a haunted evil spaceship
and then they do something horrible to you
do you forgive it or do you move on? and if you move on what will you think about then?

Well...]
I'm probably not that helpful when it comes to forgiving... think it depends on a lot of things. if they're sorry about it, how serious it was, how much it hurt you...
one thing I know for sure: if youre not careful, holding onto all that will make moving on tough, yknow?
[Alex has a lot of people he hasn't forgiven. It's pretty hard to just... completely do that. It's sad because he'd forgiven... his dad? Some entity of his dad? Whatever. It meant jack shit in the end, when he realized every truth at the very end.]

[ it might be the last question but it's the easiest one to answer. the only one she can think about. she could be asking the network this herself, or wondering if someone thought this about her. it hits close to home, that's why she bothers. ]
do you still love them more than anything?
no subject
that's probably why this is so difficult.

I know. I want to forgive them but it just hurts so much
and I have no way of talking to them

It would be painful, but I would rather not have resentment buried deep in my heart. I don't believe I have room for it now.
[ he has so many other things unwanted in there. things he didn't have before. ]
There are times Kurt, when it is no grand thing we think of when we try to raise our spirits. Perhaps it's only a memory, or something you've missed--something you liked before but have not been able to touch again.
Sometimes things like that--can be almost more than we can bear.
voice for frodo!
I know you think about The Shire. I guess I could find something to think about too-- You know, a thing instead of a person, right? Things can't hurt you.

Would it not depend on whether the person wishes to be forgiven? If the 'horrible thing' was done with malicious intent, then forgiveness may not even be something on their mind.

I hope to find pity, and forgiveness,
for all the modes in which I talk and weep,
between vain hope and vain sadness,
in those who understand love through its trials.
Do you think the one we speak of would relate Petrarca's plea? If they do not seek forgiveness, you cannot offer it.
