[Luke looks into the device, the jumper he's wearing isn't zipped up all the way and he looks a little uneasy.] I've never been good with introductions but I figured I might as well give it a shot.

[He doesn't knew whether or not if he should give the full story or not but hey... whatever.] My name's Luke Castellan, I'm new around here. I take it that I'm not the only one. There anything worthwhile on this spaceship? Back home I never was one to just sit around.

Need to do to something. Keep my mind going. [Because yeah... he's supposed to be headed to the Underworld.]

Guess that's about it. Told you. Not much on introductions. [He huffs a laugh before the feed ends.]

And I'm kind of used to disasters. [Being a demigod and all.] Caused some of them myself. Though I wouldn't call those my best days.

Oh, there's plenty of work to be done, but your definition of "worthwhile" might not be the same as the rest of this lot's.

[His definition? Luke wondered if this guy knew what Luke's definition was. Working was out. He didn't know how to do anything. Other than lead an army and sword fight. There was his gifts from his dad but that was useless unless he wanted to become a thief.]

And what do you think my definition is? [He doesn't know if his expression darkened or not. It sometimes did that. The scar on the right side of his face tended to make him look a little more sinister than he wanted.]

We've got a bar, that's fun. There's jobs yeah, like they said, but if you're not exactly up-and-up on the whole space job thing, people are always at the bar just hanging out. Y'know, until you get settled. And the Gardens too, if that's not your scene.

[Gardens? Did he look like a son of Demeter?]

The gardens aren't exactly my scene. Bar sounds nice. [Though he's never been in one. You know, the whole raising the titan war. It was kind of time consuming.] Is money an issue here? I mean I'm zapped here by whatever fates run this place. No clothes. No cash.

Eh, even the people that do have money are technically poor here. There's no common currency or whatever, so. Nope. Drinks are free at the bar, at all times.

There's a few fields of work for the crew around the ship - engineering, security, communication, that kind of stuff. If none of that sounds good, I run a bar we could use a bouncer or bus boy at.

Not that we can really pay you aside from free mixed drinks.

I've never really worked anywhere. [And thought made him feel uneasy. He was a demigod. Luke didn't think he'd ever have to work. He would have either died early or stayed at Camp Half-Blood.. but seeing as he had died, Luke felt cheated.]

So as a bouncer I'd be guarding the entrance to the club? [He more or less asked himself.] What kind of club is this? [Because free drinks? Hey, he had baggage and a good stiff drink sounded good to him.]

Oh, it wouldn't be that hard. Just don't let people we have on the Wall of Shame in and rough up anyone causing trouble. [ He gives a smile, congenial and friendly. They really hadn't had too much trouble recently, but with some of the people on the Tranquility being more than a little suspicious, you can't be too sure. ]

It's, uhm, sort of a half night club half bar. A lot of alcohol, loud music and flashing lights. [ Like Babylon without the half naked men and pole dancers, pretty much. ] Just don't wander over to the place Brian calls the VIP section unless you know what you're getting into.

I'd say hallucinations don't usually talk to other people but pretty much everything terrifying that's happened here proves that wrong. [ and he'd be more freaked but the whole Doors of Death thing back home and the weird fog / on-going, surreal nightmares have really rendered him incapable of paralyzing shock. ] I've heard worse introductions. Like, 'Hey, welcome to Bargain Mart! Try our Cheese 'n' Wieners, they're only kind of poisoned.'

Surprise? [Luke didn't know how to exactly say hello. Again the last time he was talking to Percy he, Luke, was choking on his own blood. Then he woke up here and now there was Jackson and Not!Jackson who was named Simon.] I like to think I have a way with words.

I'm a little bit confused here. I was supposed to be on a boat ride to judgement guess I took detour. [He shrugs. Not sure if he and Percy are buds or enemies maybe frienemies? It was all up in the air at this point.]

And I was supposed to be uniting the Greeks and the Romans. The Tranquility doesn't really care about any of that. [ sorry to be so nonchalant, bro, but he's got bigger fish to fry than old grudges. it is surprising to see Luke here (not because he's dead - because that he knows happens in space) but because he's someone from his world. this is probably not what Alayne prayed for. ] Kind of like fate getting all up in our business around the clock.

So this is no different than the place I come from. [He flashes a smile.] Problem with that is that I don't have any work experience. I mean I've done some stuff like teaching sword fighting at a camp. But, uh, don't think swords would help much on a space ship.

If you come from a place where fog takes you into your own and everyone else's worst nightmare, I'd like the name of it so I can skip the off ramp. [ just saying. it comes out casually and in one breath but that's because she's used to projecting this girl that has her crap together. for her parents. to be someone she can be proud of. it doesn't mean she's adjusted. ] I wouldn't count it out. There are a lot of kids and teenagers on board who don't have experience and adults who live really bizarre lives that never had to get a job because they were too busy saving the world, or running from zombies.

There isn't a solid construct for I used to do this, so I have to do this here. Doesn't seem like it, anyway. You'd have better luck talking to someone who made something for themselves. Or that has a job.

I have tons of skills. Though I'm not sure if any of them would come in handy unless you need something out of a locked vault. Or need to learn how to fight with a sword.
