[Last time he did this, he did it in text and got crap for it. So today he'll actually talk, but he still doesn't want to show his face to the entire ship. Call him paranoid.]

I have a couple of questions.

First of all, does anyone here play sports? I coached some basketball back home - I'd be willing to help organize something here, even help teach people who are interested. It's fun, good exercise, promotes teamwork and cooperation. Would the holodeck be able to provide a court?

And on a more... personal note, has anyone ever received items in their locker that didn't belong to them?

[Blake watches her carefully for a moment.]

I'm not talking down to you. If I was talking down to you, I wouldn't be asking you these questions, because I wouldn't even think you were capable of understanding them. But you seem so sure in what you believe. I'm trying to understand why.

[ A sigh. ]

[Sorry, Chase, Blake is just full of questions.]

So you're this Vishual? Who told you that? And who wrote that passage?

The origins of the passage are unknown. And as for the fact that I am the Vishual, I know for two reasons. One, God has told me, and two, the Prise aboard our ship were very particular in making sure I knew every line of the Ghansgraad.

[Blake just sighs.] And you don't think to question what these people tell you?

Your name is Robin John Blake, you're an orphan that grew up in St. Swithin's and acted out until you saw Bruce Wayne. Using his ideal as a springboard, you became a police officer and just before the masked one took over your island city you were promoted by Commissioner James Gordon.

[ An eyebrow raise. 'So there.' ]

I'm right. You know I'm right, sir, and I know I'm right as well. This is why I do not question laws and rules that I fundamentally know are correct. I have met the Crowing, we have fulfilled part of the prophecy already. So, yes. I am the Vishual and the Prise have taught me well, though ultimately I need not look to the winged ones for guidance when I have God and Inferno.

[Blake's face goes blank during her recitation. It's not a nice feeling, having someone tell you your life story when it's not really something you like thinking or talking about in general. Certainly not a small child.

Still, it's just blank. He doesn't get upset, or angry, or embarrassed. Just. Still.]

All right. [She knows things somehow. Maybe, in her world, it's some kind of god. Maybe, in her world, she's exactly what she says she is. There are equally crazy things on this ship that Blake has had to accept in his time here.

It just throws him off to hear all of this, from someone who appears so young.]

It must be nice, to be so certain of your place in the universe. [That's about all he can think of to say.]

Oh, I know what's happening to me, but I'm not certain of my place, no. No one is. I believe it's what it means to be.. ehm... human.

[ A small smile. ]

I'm certain of your place, sir. You're going to do great things. Here and back in Gotham.

[Blake glances down at the duffel bag for a moment, frowning deeply.]

But he's dead.

Incorrect. The Dark Knight is nothing but alive.

But I saw him. The bomb.

Uhm, sir? Were you sleeping when I was speaking earlier?

[Blake frowns, and rubs the bridge of his nose.]

No.

Do you have some form of short-term memory loss?

[Blake is just about done with this kid.]

Not that I'm aware of, but I am starting to get a headache.

Then why do you allude that the Dark Knight is deceased? You're the Dark Knight, and you're alive, and you're what Gotham needs.

[Blake just looks weary. And maybe wary, too.]

That's just... a really big concept to wrap my head around, right now.

Then it's a good thing the Tranquility has given you more time to think about it. It's a good thing, to not be rash.

I don't need to be stuck on a space ship to learn that lesson. [Okay, maybe he does. Kind of.]

[ This sentiment sports no vocalization from Chase--but her eyebrows lift and her face goes terse, as if to say really? ]
