You can't possibly believe everyone on this ship comes from the same universe. There's too much variety to account for here.

You'd be surprised at the variety of the universe. Not exactly infinite, got a beginning and an end just the same as everything else, but the diversity is staggering.

Mm, I believe it was four years after Crichton found himself on the opposite side of the universe. I'm really not as familiar with wormhole technology as I could be.

Wormholes do connect separate points in time-space, within the same universe. That's about all you need to know unless you're actually gonna be piloting a ship through them. What they very decidedly don't do is connect different realities, at least not anymore. How could the 'Tranquility' be doing something that's physically impossible?

Yes, that's what Crichton did. Apparently his work was very important on Earth, but that's all I can say about it since I decided to go back home and ended up here.

If I knew that secret I wouldn't be on this ship. Indeed I'm sure many would not be on this ship.
