[The feed shows darkness. A shadow shifts about and there are vague outlines that many might recognize as the interior of a passenger dorm room. The angle is a bit awkward, suggesting that the communicator was tossed down somewhere. Loki, who has yet to completely master these devices, has accidentally turned on the video instead of audio.]

It has already been reported that my other self is among us no longer. 'Tis so, I cannot feel his presence.

[The moving shadow pauses and clasps his hands thoughtfully, then wanders out of view.]

His was a truly troubled spirit and I can but hope that he has found some manner of peace now.

...I must confess to some envy. I would not mind ridding myself of this place and vanishing as he did. One would think that, for a man who has lived for centuries, a months or even years-long voyage would be as nothing.

[The shadow wanders back into view, placing a horned headdress over his brow.]

The truth is I would give nigh anything to return whence I came. I wonder how many others feel the same way. Do you consider this vessel your new fate? Having been stolen by it, will you now remain upon it until it reaches its unknown destination? Or do you intend to find a way home?

[The shadow turns its head and seems to look directly at the camera, though the view remains tilted and awkward. A pair of green eyes start to glow in the darkness.]

And to those of you intent on staying, where do you suppose this celestial ark is taking us?

[Terra listens, feeling sympathy for the man's plight. His other self had vanished. Death had wrought this ship. Well, Terra only assumed that he was upset over that last part, as everyone else was to a degree.]

I... am truly sorry about your other self.

[She pauses, unsure of how to answer his next question.]

I don't know if I want to return. I want to believe that this ship is rescuing us from something, but...

[Her eyes drift to the side.]

I don't know how much I can believe it.

[There's the sound of creaking as he sits on the edge of the bed.]

You needn't offer sympathy for my other self. I am sure he would rather be home.

[And Loki did not have much fondness for his other self. He is glad to be rid of him but to admit to this would make him sound callous; something he feels he can't afford quite yet.]

If this ship is truly rescuing us, then the force that threatens us must be tremendous. It would have to be a power capable of reaching across all of space and time. The Eternity itself.

I originally thought the ship was something to rescue us until I found out that we all come from different worlds.

[She begins fiddling with one of the tails from her hair ties in nervousness.]

I don't know how big of a threat there is. I didn't even know there were worlds beyond my own.

You say you are no longer certain you can believe this ship is carrying us to safety. What might you believe, then, if not that?

I dunno. This place is definitely better than what was waiting for me at home.

Now, you know, I must ask... What ill fate was that?

I don't mind. Plenty of people have asked already. [There's a bit of tension under that easy grin of his, though.] Last thing I knew at home, I was at the bottom of a river in Germany. [And probably dead. He remembered a lot of pain, anyway.]

I wonder...is death so terrible that you would willingly come here to escape it?

[She's been telling herself not to ask since this Loki spoke to her. Don't ask. Be done with it. There's nothing she could do about it anyway.]

Did you do it?

[She owes her Loki. The real Loki. Debts aren't intangible, forgettable things. She owes him and he's very likely dead, and she knows one person who both hates him and would have had the means to do it and, well, what a perfect time to slip a murder by.]

Why ask? What good would that information do you? All that should matter is that he is gone... Unless you were fond of him overmuch.

I trust and believe we're headed wherever God intends us to go. I'm not sure what purpose He might intend for all of us yet, and of course I'd be glad to know more. But we are in His hands.

[Pause. Leoben would like to boost the message's encryption up to something unhackable, but it seems absurd to tip that part of his hand to the rest of the ship for no real reason. Really, he doesn't need to say anything more to Loki, but...

He does anyway. Encryption to 80%, making it look like it was developed from Chase's encryption in Leoben's last post.]

One of my sisters has disappeared.

The three of us were the only ones of our kind aboard this ship. I love, like, and admire all my sister-Sixes. But Natalie in particular was a great, compassionate leader.

I mourn partly for my other sister, who's lost her twin. But I wonder why Natalie vanished right after I got here and told her of the shape of things to come.

Well, it is a fate, isn't it? We're on it, so that was our fate right there! Anyway, I am considering it a vacation from being dead, but that is just my personal situation.

[ she doesn't say it like she has a problem with being dead. she says it like it is a legitimate vacation from something normal, like school or work. ]

It's pretty hard to tell where a ship is going when you can't see outside of it. But if I had to guess, I would say perhaps a new planet? If this were an Alternian ship, it would be to annihilate a race, but since it's human, maybe the goal is colonisation!

It seems pretty human to me! Who else would build such a stupid design? [ she laughs, to make sure he knows that she is obviously joking. of course. ] Besides, if those two original crew members are right, then humans here still haven't made first contact! With a human crew, I think that would suggest this being a human boat.
