Chase [the Vishual] | Amory Wars
[ The camera focuses on Chase and she's quietly sitting in one of the common rooms, hands folded neatly in her lap, a pleasant smile on her face. If you look closely, there's a few art supplies behind her. ]

I've seen it. The truth. And I'm so very sorry I didn't see it sooner. To everyone who does not believes in God that I have been a petulant child to, I apologize.

[ She nods. It's firm, it's full of resolve. ]

It's going to be okay. Not for a very, very long time, but it's going to be okay. But first, there is something I need to do. So--please, don't fight. And above all else, treasure one another. I'm going to help you.

[ There's a brief pause, and Chase clears her throat. Her eyes glow a pinkish colour. ]

No key is needed, the truth will surface. The way will shine and the journey will be new, but They will not. They are watching, and Their presence will be met with red, red, red. There's a place--a labyrinth--that They will claw out of, clutching what they once where. Whispers are no longer whispers. Whispers are roars, are shouts, are screams of the damned and the dead. The murals are laughing. The network is laughing. And--

[ She closes her eyes. ]

There is something I must do. Today, I'm going to try to defy God.

[ She cuts the feed--and to anyone that can pick out what common room it is, they'll find her communicator lying on a table, along with a heavy book from her world. The one item in her possession: her version of the bible, the Ghansgraad. She's taken the art supplies. ]

SHALE
11 January 2013 @ 04:10 pm
[ The communicator comes on deep in the darkness of the ship, having been jarred by the movements of its owner. There is only one person on the ship whose footsteps are this heavy, the glinting of crystals and white runes revealing Shale's identity to anyone who may recognize them. It soon becomes apparent, however, that the golem is not walking, not running, but fighting -- her large, stone arms are swinging, her targets making loud, inhuman noises of pain. Still, they keep coming, claws scratching along the floor of the ship.

Shale bellows and some of the creatures hiss in pain. There's just enough light from the magic in her crystals and the screen of the communicator that the next time Shale takes a swing, a creature is reflected, caught on camera. Despite the golem's heavy assault, she's being pushed back by the pack of manticores, close quarters making it more and more difficult to fight the way she's used to.

Then, quite suddenly, the camera angle tips. For a moment, it catches the ceiling, then the manticore that's attempting to leap onto Shale. Something bright is knocked off and away by the claws reaching toward Shale's shoulder -- a crystal, perhaps, and it falls clattering away into the darkness. Then, all three -- golem, communicator, and manticore -- fall.

And fall.

And fall.

And fall.

And, eventually, land. The camera stays on for a few moments longer, but nothing is moving save for a blinking red light, illuminating the now-crushed bodies of the manticore and the golem. Shale is hardly in as bad of shape as the creature, but both look like they've fallen into a singularity and couldn't get up. There's no movement, and the runes etched on Shale's stone dim, then flicker out completely. After a few moments more, the communicator times out as well -- and the red light, presumably, shines on. ]

((ooc: Quick explanation: deep within the ship, Shale accidentally found herself some manticores that some of you may remember from the stasis sickness event! While fighting them, she managed to fall down one of the creepy holes and, ahaha, remember those black holes from the maze and how they'd crush you? Well, that happened to her (and the unlucky manticore that fell with her). Congratulations, TQ, you've found one of the few things that can quickly kill a golem! Also, you know, everyone's probably going to die horribly. Yeah. That too. Much love to the mods for giving me a way to kill Shale in a horrifying manner, and I'll still be around with my other characters! ALSO: Quinlan has dibs on the crystal that fell off her.))

Luke Castellan ☤ Son of Hermes
11 January 2013 @ 04:23 pm
[Luke closes a green leather bound book before he brings his full attention to the screen. His hair is a little disheveled and the slight grin on his face looks a little sinister. Though that could be the effect of the lighting and the scar on the right side of his face.]

So I've gotten my hands on five swords. Four are celestial bronze which means they won't harm humans. Perfect for training. So if anyone is interested in learning how to sword fight just contact me. Either here or send me a private message.

And for those of you who already know how to sword fight, anyone up for some practice? I'm a little rusty and I could use a challenge. This is open to anyone and everyone.

For those of you who don't know me I'm Luke Castellan. Son of Hermes and head former counselor of cabin twelve at Camp Half-Blood. [What was the use in not introducing himself? They were all stuck on board. Besides he needs his own crew. Not just Percy's gang of misfits.]

Can't wait to hear from the those of you who are interested.

Eileen Galvin

Hey.

I'm one of the gals who came on board last jump, name's Eileen. I was wondering who to talk to about doing some work down in the Oxygen Gardens. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and it'd be great to have something productive to do - so I'd appreciate hearing from the usual working crew.

For everyone else, I heard the bar's got some tunes. It'd be pretty nice if I could find a dancing partner. Partner dancing or just someone to dance around with. No pressure, I'm not a professional or anything. Both men and women may apply, haha.

Thanks.
