Okay, I don't wanna sound like a total insensitive jerk, or a whiny brat or anything? I mean, I get that people have died and gone missing and stuff and it's super concerning and all- [ one palm lifts to rub at the back of her neck, only to fall a beat later, when her hands flutter demonstratively as she speaks. ] and I totally get that most of you guys are busy like- running the ship and saving people and doing cool-futuristic-space stuff?

But would it be too much to ask to maybe get a calendar running around here?

[ she squints briefly, one finger lifted as a preemptive shush. ] -In before but Hayley that's just totally depressing because we've already got space tats with our dates on them. So, time's already racked up. No blaming a calendar for sulking.

Okay hang on, what was I sayi- Oh right. Yeah, a calendar.

I mean I've been here, what- [ her cheeks puff out when her gaze drops, checking the digits on the inside of her arm before she continues, shrugging carelessly. ] six runs now? Seriously, every day is like, the same stuff over and over again ad nauseum. Why not bust up the routine a little? We can have space Christmas. And trick or treating. And whatever other non-human totally random holidays you guys have.

No but really. It's getting boring.

And I know this is kinda lame, but I'm pretty much desperate, and then there's that whole proverb, desperate measures etcetera etcetera. I mean, if all else fails we can waste some time. And if it goes over well then, hey, you have at least three socially acceptable calendar excuses to get wasted and make terrible life decisions. Right?

[if anyone on the tranquility had been able to see his face, they would have seen a very distressed man. he hasn't slept in days, just for the simple fact that he's been looking for his sister - which is precisely why he's addressing the network.

he doesn't know where else to look. and he thinks that while south hadn't exactly been the friendliest of people, maybe there's someone on the ship that has seen her recently. or knows where she might have gone.

because after what had happened to them on their last stop, he can't help thinking that something terrible has happened.

when he speaks, he sounds so far beyond tired that he almost doesn't sound like himself at all.]
This is a last ditch effort, and I'm not sure I expect any positive responses, but I have to try -

Has anyone seen South in the past couple of days? I've looked all over the ship, and I can't find her. I'm .. worried.

[worried is putting it about as mildly as he possibly can. he's about to crawl out of his skin looking for her.]

[First there is sound - muffled conversation and some rustling. A laugh and something that sounded like a kiss. Then the video suddenly clicks on, supposedly by Lisbeth's semi-visible foot as she's bent over her computer in her tank top. The eerie blue glow of the screen is the only thing that's making her visible in the otherwise dark room. A shadow moves behind her and Jane is visible with a flip of her hair. She's leaning on her hand and kisses Lisbeth's shoulder before resting her chin in the same spot.

Looks like those rumors were true.]

[The communicator flickers on and a dark room is shown save for a small light that seems to be coming from the corner of the room. It sheds just enough to see that there's a figure splayed out on its back, a shock of white hair appearing immediately in the view of the screen.

It's relatively peaceful looking enough; just the average rise and fall of the chest and people could immediately dismiss it as nothing more than an accidental broadcast of someone sleeping. But suddenly there's a jolt and the body shifts to the side, and begins murmuring. The voice is clearly male.]

Stop...No....Won't do it...Make it stop.

[His hands reach for the back of his neck, clutching at it as if it hurts.] Blood, so much blood. [He rolls to the other side, revealing the bandages that wind the length of his neck.]

Get away - no! Don't...don't fucking come near me! [His body bucks and he's clawing at the back of his neck now - tearing away at the bandages that are wrapped there. Soon enough, they're unraveling and showing the metal fused to his skin but the camera jolts as he bucks again. There's a sudden snarl as his grip moves to his head.] Ack...Ah....Don't....to...uch...me!

Make it fucking stop!

[And suddenly there's movement, and a flash of metal across the screen. Before anyone can comprehend what's happening there's a bang, a flash of light and the communicator is jolted from its place. It no longer shows its owner - it instead shows a frightened bundle of blankets, blonde hair and wings that belong to Nill and the muzzle of a gun. Smoke spirals lazily from the hole in the wall dangerously close to where her head had been. There's shaky intakes of breath from Heine and the gun clatters to the floor. It takes him a moment but he finally wheezes out a single word.]

Lily.

[The feed ends abruptly.]

[ooc: Nill may be replying to replies for Heine via his communicator as he isn't really in a state to talk/reply to anything!]

[ Judging by the background, Carolyn's in the shuttle bay today. It's fitting, because that's where she's been for most of the past month, but she hasn't spoken up in a while. Today she is, however, having cleaned up a bit from working on the shuttles with a slight smile on her face as she addresses the camera. ]

Tranquility, this is Carolyn Fry. Some of you may recall that Ellen Ripley and I have been talking about training people on the ship so that they're better equipped to deal with living in space. We're happy to announce that we'll be starting up our first session at [ insert time here ].

We'll be meeting in the shuttle bay. For those of you who don't know how to get here, Ripley will be waiting by the lift in the passenger quarters to show you the way. For everyone else, I'll be waiting here for when you arrive. A recording of the session will be available afterwards but we really encourage everyone to come in person -- we're going to be running some drills and getting a bit hands-on with some things. In addition, even if you already know a thing or two about life in space, this could be a good refresher -- or you could bring up something we miss, you never know.

If anyone has any questions before we begin, I'm happy to answer them. Thank you and I hope to see you all there.
