[voice] dated to late wednesday "evening" - eridan's guide to finding dead bodies
[this is surprise.]
Oh.
[this is distress.]
I - I... uh - fuck -
[this is panic.]
I need - fuckin' son of a bitch I need, um, someone here, right noww, the pool - [there's a little gasping breath, followed by a more sincere attempt at deep breathing. eridan doesn't even try to sound Okay at all.] Someone's in...
[and finally, the verbal shoulder-slump of defeat.]
Someone's drowwned in the pool.
[this is not what he wants to be doing right now at all, in the slightest, he was just supposed to look around real fast, just a quick look before he kept wandering, there wasn't supposed to be anything wrong.] I need John Wwatson. 001, uh, just the 001. An', uh. Shit. [there's the sound of frustrated typing for a minute, then,] 002-215. That one. I need both'a you to... Talk to me.
Someone else come help me. He's definitely...
[there's a long pause here, almost a minute, and then:] He's been here for a wwhile. There's nothin' else to do.
[002-215, Neal Caffrey and 001-197, John Watson are getting a notification every minute for this post until they respond.]
((OOC: way to brutalize the /small tag, whoops. anyway all responses voice, it is completely likely that anyone who knew Sherlock will get a pretty clear idea of who Eridan's referring to with such a dramatic call-out to Neal and Watson. uuuhh other than that yep that's it Sherlock's dead guys.))

Good. I'll get some people on it. [A beat.] Is it Sherlock?

[Of all the goddamn people. But there wasn't time to get worked up over it. The situation had to be dealt with.]
Okay. Be there in three.
voice;
I can, uh. Help you out a bit wwith the general idea'a the situation. But I'm not... Gonna be able to do much else. Sorry. [Not really, he's freaking out over here ok.]
video;
Give me what you can, don't worry about the rest. We'll handle it, alright?
[She means the rest of security, views them as a team, hopes he might take some strength from that.]

I havven't. Touched him, or anythin'. Gross as fuck, drowwnin' is one'a the wworst wways t'go. You can kinda tell, though - he's been in here for a wwhile. Definitely not like, days an' days, or anythin', but - yeah. Didn't need to get too close to tell that, but if you wwant, I'll. Fuckin', pull him up to the edge, get him on land or somethin' at least. Gonna needa do it either wway, an' a guy floatin' in a body'a wwater isn't gonna stay in the place he drowwned, so his position... Wwell, it's not gonna matter.
[He turns the camera to the rest of the pool area.] Looks like maybe a fuckin' fight or somethin' happened, though.
[What's clear is that Tyke was right. Giving him something else to focus on is going to keep him out of trouble for at least a little while longer.]

Right. If you're sure you can, drag him out. [She'd think keeping him away from the body would be better, with how he'd reacted earlier, but his justifications for doing it make her think otherwise - and how doing something seemed to have him steadier.] The opposite side from where the fight happened.
[Of course there'd been a fight. Sherlock couldn't just disappear home like everyone else, now could he.]

Besides, he's not squeamish about drownings, really. They happened all the time back home. This is nothing. Just... more personal.
And someone's giving him an order, anyway, and of course he's going to follow it. Still, though...] I should'a taken him out wwhen I saww him, but - it's not hard to see that it wwouldn't havve helped any if I'd dragged the fuckin' pool an hour ago or fivve minutes ago.

[Really, she trusts his assessment that Sherlock was long gone - even she can see from the state of the body on video. But the fact remains he had been (still was) pretty distressed, and that could mean some basic things or common sense just went flying out the window.]
Just get him out of the water now. Anyone tries to give you shit on it, send them to me.

If there's any evidence left on the scene, I might be able to find it. Should be able to smell anything off, if nothing else.
[ Hi Tyke, he's coming out to you as superhuman. Don't you feel... special... ]

[A nod. She was going to put a call out once she was still again, but this was quicker. The next bit makes her frown slightly.]
Don't recall that being on the standard marine stat sheet, Grimm.
[It's curious more than angry about not knowing. She hadn't recruited him, and it'd be hypocritical, besides. Her pathos wasn't common knowledge.]

It's not.
[ He's moving, but he can talk and walk at the same time. ]
I mentioned a little bit about going to Mars for a mission. They had an archaeological dig up there, tested weapons, a genetics lab... all sorts of shit. Something went wrong, my team was sent up. Turned out some of the scientists had been experimenting with a synthetic chromosome they found in humanoid remains on the planet that made people superhuman -- if they were lucky. If not, if they were [ pause ] "evil" [ and he clearly knows how that sounds ], it made them monsters.
My sister was working there, took a vial. I got hit fighting the creatures, started bleeding out, and she injected me as a last resort. As a result, I'm stronger, faster, my senses have increased... a whole hell of a lot, and I heal almost instantly.

Think you might have just won an award for the craziest fucking story I've heard so far. Least it's a vote for your character, I guess.
[Not being a monster, therefore not being 'evil' - even though she'd been feeling okay about him before, anyway. She scrubs a hand back through her hair, deciding she'll take a moment to fully digest his story later. She needed this scene dealt with first.]
Sure, take a sniff around. More evidence we can find on this, the better.

I'll treasure it.
[ He's expecting more questions at some point, but first thing's first. ]
Will do. [ Pause. ] And I'd appreciate it if you kept all of that fairly quiet. Still kind of working it all out.

Not going to spill on one of my team. You're good.

Now if we could just get faster lifts.
