[ The video clicks on, and it's obvious enough that Cat's not particularly happy about choosing to do so, but given the reason for one of her rare appearances on the network, she thought she might as well show her face. There's a bit of a pause before she finds it in herself to actually start talking as opposed to just looking a bit grumpy and reluctant, which is of course her standard approach to everything. Doesn't matter that Cat genuinely wants to get something out of this, she just hates having to ask for help. ]

All right, seeing as for once we're not being fucked around by red text or demons or brain-washing or fatal illnesses and shit, might as well make the most of it, yeah? [ She peers at the feed searchingly, pursing her lips. ] Bound to be a couple of you out there who can swim, I reckon. There's a pool here - I want to learn how. Not got much use for swimming back home, s'why I never learned, but I have a chance now, so it stands to reason I could give it a go.

Any of you lot think you can teach me?

[ She's very careful not to use the word "help", already feeling weird for how much she's talking when she usually kepts to the minimum amount of words required to make a sentence. With some amount of restraint she manages to stop herself from saying she wouldn't mind a couple of offers since some of you lot were bound to be terrible teachers.

Fair warning, Cat herself would be a pretty fucking terrible student. ]

Besides a slight widening of her eyes she doesn't seem all that bothered by the girl's appearance, and in any case, it's the sheer enthusiasm that catches her off guard a little bit. She can't even find it in herself to be particularly grumpy in response to that. ]

[ There is an obvious pause where Cat seems to wait for the girl to do something other than look excited by the prospect of swimming, but instead just frowns curiously when there is no other response, so she just goes for a guess instead. ]

[ But this was very definitely not Amy. For one thing, he was quite sure Amy was fond of the swimming pool. For another...

...Well, there were a lot of things that tipped him off to the fact that this was very definitely not his best friend.

But, that really wasn't anything out of the ordinary. If this ship could pull people from different universes, there was always the chance of someone wandering around with the same face. Laws of genetic probability and all that. ]

Right then. Not Amy. [ introductions will come soon. ] Did you say you need a swimming instructor?

[ Cat had met her before, after one of the jumps, and she could safely say that of all the crazy things that happened here, it was one of the stranger ones. For Cat, at least. Nothing quite like thinking you were looking at yourself when you still knew that it wasn't you at all. The implication seems to cloud Cat's mind for a moment, until she remembers why she was on the network in the first place. ]

Uh, yeah. Got a couple of people already- [ and by "couple", she means "five", not including Miles ] -but 'm still taking offers.
