So, I want to know if anybody's at least seen an alien wearing a bow tie. Except he doesn't look alien, he looks human. He's called the Doctor. If he's out there, then he better show his backside right now.

[ she looks like she might cut the message short right there, but another thought occurs to her. she lifts her eyebrows, lips pouting into a perfect 'o.' ]

Right, sorry, let's take this from the top, shall we? Kirk is in charge; yes, that Kirk. As in Captain, James T. Mind you, he's not officially Captain of this vessel and not responsible for any of this, he's just who we've sort of...started following. He's also younger than you'd expect. The people actually in charge are Ward and Resnik, and I'd highly encourage avoiding them both entirely.

The Doctor isn't here, far as I know. He was, a while back, but people come and go for no discernible reason during the jumps. I haven't seen him in months.

My name is Ianto Jones, and I'm from Cardiff. Sorry, no Canadian relations. I was also briefly acquainted with the Doctor before I ever wound up here, and Jack Harkness is also aboard. He's a former companion. There also may or may not be another Amy Pond here from an alternate universe, or you may or may not have been here before and you simply don't remember, because both of those things tend to happen here, but I met you last month.

She really wasn't expecting such a thorough answer, or answers at all. She's used to not getting them that easily. Maybe her shouting was effective. More likely because this Ianto bloke knew the Doctor (and Jack), and he could relate to her in some way.

There seems to be some sort of mix up. That's why I asked about Canada. I was there — trapped, mind you — and I met a lot people I've seen here. No one's seem to know me. Yet, at least.

You know Kirk? You know Jack? I can't speak for Kirk, but I mentioned you -- the other you -- to Jack and he didn't know you. I'd say there's definitely a mix up, but that sort of thing seems par for the course here. Who knows? What in the world were you doing trapped in Canada?
