[The video comes on, and without further ado you're greeted with Dee's rather blunt stare. He's not quite enjoying himself here on the Tranquility. None of his friends are here, none of the things he's familiar with. Ryo's nowhere to be found, the place is full of friggin' weird aliens and people who're claiming to be vampires and the crazy part is that he believes them too. He just wants to be back in New York, he just wants to be back on solid ground, to be familiar with something. He really doesn't like the setup of things here. At all. And it shows]
Okay, Tranquility. One question for you. Yadda yadda, I'm sure you've heard it all before, but exactly what the hell are we supposed to be doing with ourselves while we're here? I mean, sure, some of you guys have whatever, your security team. And some of you have friends or skills or whatever to help pass the time. What about the rest of us? I dunno about you, but robots and tech sure as hell aren't my strong suit. I mean, I've had a cellphone for a while, I get by, but if you start knocking on my door to help pilot or something then you're shit out of luck.
But really. I don't have any friends here, I don't know anyone. I'm a cop, and that's not gonna really help me anywhere unless I wanna sign up and enlist or whatever. The only thing I really enjoy doing besides hanging out with Ryo or with friends is watching basketball, or maybe playing, and unless we've got a hoop and a ball hiding around then that's out too.
[Grumble, grumble] If we're gonna be stolen away from everything we know the least they could do is have something worth staying for. I mean, sheesh.
[He moves to turn off the video, and then pauses] And for the record, whoever that is in the oxygen garden, I'm a cop, dumbass. I know what pot smells like. The least you could do is be stealthy about it. You're lucky there aren't some sort of rules against that on this place. [Pause] I think. Is there any sort of law on this ship?

I don't think that when they so kindly plucked us out of whatever the fuck we happened to be doing, they were simultaneously busy with setting up an Arts and Crafts table to occupy us with. You're not going to find a reason to stay.
[ but you're being a princess by thinking you can leave. ]

If that was meant to be an introduction, I believe you missed contributing your name, sir. And to answer your question, it seems that if there is a system of law here, its presence is rather sparse.

Ah, sorry man, my bad. It's Dee. Dee Laytner, NYPD. And you're telling me. I haven't seem a single friggin' soul doing much of anything in terms of leadership so far myself.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't there been mentions of a certain Captain Kirk in charge?
