[ No video this time, because Erik is paranoid as fuck in the aftermath of pretty much everything. And hearing from the smiley face thing Stark pointed out initially does nothing to cure that paranoia. It takes him a while to put together the list, but it's the poem itself, that Erik recognized as familiar. Being from the sixties means he doesn't quite manage off to solve the technology aspect just yet, but he'll get there in due time. ]

Cliched poetry, [ He says, sarcastically as possible. ] like our stay here wasn't any more pleasant than it was initially.

No doubt our friends are hinting at a means of cooperation amongst us. Its implication is not one I'm fond of.

[ it takes her a second, but she switches to voice eventually too. even though all that conflicted desperation is very much more noticeable this way than it is through text ]

He's not just some human, Erik. We can work with him, trust him. He gets us. He gets me. [ blehbleh word vomit. she sucks in a breath and shuts her eyes, leaning her forehead on the corner of her comm. ] Maybe I am biased. But the humans are facing the same threat that we are. I just think... we should stick together on it.

[ What he wants to do is listen to her, believe everything she says, but Erik knows he can't. ] It's not that easy. [ And there's the slightest hint of desperation in his tone at that. Because it truly isn't, with everything Erik has been through. Moira had been their ally and she stood against him when rebelled against the Navy. ]

Raven. [ Pause. ] I won't stop you, but I don't think I can.

[ it's impossible to describe the pull Raven feels in her chest, like she's meant to be making some choice right now but she just can't do it. so instead she feels something tear up inside her, something worse than the frustration of not knowing how to keep her friends safe. ]

I will always, always fight by your side, okay? You'll always have me there. But- But I won't fight against Captain Kirk. Whatever it is you want to do to stop this list guy, I'm there, and I'll help you with whatever you need me to do. But not if it means going against him in any way, I won't do that. He's earned that much loyalty from me here just as much as you have back home. [ which complicates things, she knows it does, but it's the truth of it. ]
