[ No video this time, because Erik is paranoid as fuck in the aftermath of pretty much everything. And hearing from the smiley face thing Stark pointed out initially does nothing to cure that paranoia. It takes him a while to put together the list, but it's the poem itself, that Erik recognized as familiar. Being from the sixties means he doesn't quite manage off to solve the technology aspect just yet, but he'll get there in due time. ]

Cliched poetry, [ He says, sarcastically as possible. ] like our stay here wasn't any more pleasant than it was initially.

No doubt our friends are hinting at a means of cooperation amongst us. Its implication is not one I'm fond of.

What do you mean by "step up"? This young man [Stats is referring to the ship] would need to be told about a few things, sure, but what exactly do you have in mind?

I mean assume a position of leadership. [ Erik responds curtly. ] A proactive stance especially given current affairs.

[Stats frowns for a split second.] Don't we already have Kirk for that? I'm sure you can talk to him about what you feel has to be done.

Kirk is human. [ As if that explanation should be more than enough. ] I’ve never been one to accept a secondary position.

[statsraaden]

[Stats is genuinely bewildered.]

So, you want to set up a dissident crew, only because Kirk's species is not to your liking?

You know what? I'm a tall ship. Should I have a dissident crew of... one?

[He shakes his head.]

It's significantly more complicated than that. I don't expect you to understand.

[ Cold as Erik's response may be, it's nothing but the truth. At the core, it's the result of Kirk being human that has him frustrated with the man, but it boils down to his intense dislike of the species in the first place, knowing what they're capable of doing and he harbors that hatred no matter how accepting anyone can be. ]

Make your own crew if you choose to, my intentions are exclusively to retaliate once I find out the source of this threat.

Indeed, I cannot understand if you don't explain yourself. I know nothing of what happened in your world, but I don't think it's a good idea to hold Kirk or anyone else responsible for it. It's not like we can change our species at a whim, and only refuse to.

I never intended to make a crew or anything. You know the saying: 'Too many cooks spoil the soup.'. And how are you planning to retaliate, and how is this a good idea in the first place?
