[ No video this time, because Erik is paranoid as fuck in the aftermath of pretty much everything. And hearing from the smiley face thing Stark pointed out initially does nothing to cure that paranoia. It takes him a while to put together the list, but it's the poem itself, that Erik recognized as familiar. Being from the sixties means he doesn't quite manage off to solve the technology aspect just yet, but he'll get there in due time. ]
Cliched poetry, [ He says, sarcastically as possible. ] like our stay here wasn't any more pleasant than it was initially.
No doubt our friends are hinting at a means of cooperation amongst us. Its implication is not one I'm fond of.
text: private/filtered to mutants/allies
I think it's about time someone else steps up.
[ ooc: ICly shortly before Neal's post because I'm slow. Also filter is open to basically anyone with positive/decent experiences with Erik; if you've talked to him, you're on it. ]

[ A beat, then: ]
chase might.

[ He's superstitious when it comes to that. ]

you don't think she's withholding information.
text | ERIK ONLY | ENCRYPTION 100%
[ Meaning he isn't unanimously believing her, especially not with the doubts Aberdeen is raising. ]

[ Chase trusts Kirk. Kirk and Spock. If anyone knows the truth, it'd be them. ]
text | ERIK ONLY | ENCRYPTION 100%
[ Understatement at its finest. He’s human. A leader perhaps, and effective, but still human. Erik’s tolerance of him only goes so far. ]
How much does he know about her?
text | ERIK ONLY | ENCRYPTION 100%
taking up against him won't be easy.
popular vote's on his side.
safe to say,
more than anyone else on this ship.
barring spock maybe.

I'll manage then. Anything I need to be aware of about Chase, then?
text | ERIK ONLY | ENCRYPTION 100%
not a preference.
quantitative dominance does not always assume
qualitative dominance as well,
but they aren't mutually exclusive either.
she can be easily emotionally compromised.
and she's powerful.

Would she be a threat to me?
[ The only thing that matters. ]
text | ERIK ONLY | ENCRYPTION 100%
yes.
don't incite her
unless completely necessary.
she holds grudges
and is slow to forget.

a child
and a self-proclaimed herald of god.
you may be beat in this one, erik.
text | ERIK ONLY | ENCRYPTION 100%
[ Because he is so far from religious right now. Though it's the child part that has him not even going to bother reacting. ]
text | ERIK ONLY | ENCRYPTION 100%
it's statistically problematic.
she should be listened to, but only to a certain point.
where that point is,
i don't know yet.

Probabilities were made to be broken.
text | ERIK ONLY | ENCRYPTION 100%
you shouldn't say things like that to me.
[ And that....would actually be a joke. It's not really something she does very often so often it's hard to tell. ]
text | ERIK ONLY | ENCRYPTION 100%
[ Whether it's a joke or not remains to be seen, but the fact still remains; Erik doesn't deal in percentages. It's always 'it can be done'. ]

statistics.
counterarguments.
charts.
powerpoint.
[ One of these things is an over-exaggeration. The rest aren't. ]
text | ERIK ONLY | ENCRYPTION 100%
Sounds threatening.
[ But not really. None of them quite do, and Erik simply picks out the one he's least familiar with. He won't seriously counter her statements, but at the same time Erik won't allow numbers to dictate his life. ]

[ In the end, all she can do is inform, provide context for the decisions he's about to make and then step back and allow Erik to make them. She's not looking to pitch or sway, to play devil's advocate, or to advise. Aberdeen is an analyst first and foremost and had no illusions towards anything greater. ]
text | ERIK ONLY | ENCRYPTION 100%
[ Because while Aberdeen has no intention to advise, Erik takes her evaluations into consideration, the opinion appreciated, and above all needed, when Erik is anything but neutral. ]
