[ No video this time, because Erik is paranoid as fuck in the aftermath of pretty much everything. And hearing from the smiley face thing Stark pointed out initially does nothing to cure that paranoia. It takes him a while to put together the list, but it's the poem itself, that Erik recognized as familiar. Being from the sixties means he doesn't quite manage off to solve the technology aspect just yet, but he'll get there in due time. ]

No doubt our friends are hinting at a means of cooperation amongst us. Its implication is not one I'm fond of.

I think it's about time someone else steps up.

You already know Nathan, but there's Elle, Isaac and Sylar. No reason to worry about Isaac, but Sylar and Elle on the other hand are... risks, I guess. Depending on what they believe and who they're listening to.

Issac I spoke to. Sylar and Elle I haven't. I take it they're like us, then?

Yeah, they are. Elle can manipulate electricity, and I spent four months with her taking time out of every day to torture me. And Sylar can-- he can do what I used to be able to. Hold on to more than one ability at a time, but he does it by knowing how things work. He can fix anything, understand the mechanics.
Which is how he took other peoples abilities. Cut the top of their heads off and poked around in their brains until he understood. [ a beat ] But for awhile my parents convinced us all we were brothers. Just so they could use him. And he saved my life once, but he's also tried to kill me. We're not exactly on the best of terms.

I don't know, it depends. Back home, my dad was-- [ Peter clamps down on whatever he was about to say, shoving that to some other distant part of his mind. ] Guess it just depends on how soon he remembers that he likes killing more than he likes saving people.

He doesn't press the issue over his father, when parents are a sore subject for himself as well, but tucks it away as a reminder for later. ]
Which one is it right now? [ Erik hasn't spoken to Sylar but there's no harm in being prepared. ]

Right now? It's... [ another pause, more thinking. ] It's I don't know. But i'm too worried to wait and see what he might do, so keeping an eye on him is our best bet. He doesn't think we're related anymore, so he doesn't have any parents he's trying to impress.
He might just go right back to the way he was.
