[ No video this time, because Erik is paranoid as fuck in the aftermath of pretty much everything. And hearing from the smiley face thing Stark pointed out initially does nothing to cure that paranoia. It takes him a while to put together the list, but it's the poem itself, that Erik recognized as familiar. Being from the sixties means he doesn't quite manage off to solve the technology aspect just yet, but he'll get there in due time. ]

Cliched poetry, [ He says, sarcastically as possible. ] like our stay here wasn't any more pleasant than it was initially.

No doubt our friends are hinting at a means of cooperation amongst us. Its implication is not one I'm fond of.

I think it's about time someone else steps up.

[ He doesn't bring the helmet this time, though in light of everything occurring, part of Erik realizes maybe he should. Next time though. What matters is reaching out to Alex and the others, making sure they're okay above all, even if they'd rather code names above all else. Erik knows they might not support him, but it changes nothing in the long run that he cares about mutants over the rest.

A single knock on the door before he speaks. ] Havok. [ Feel special, Erik is doing this in person because he can. ]

[Alex is sitting in a chair; he stands when Erik enters the room, because--well. There is a serious height difference, and he doesn't like looking up to Erik more than he has to. Bozo, for his part, is curled up on a pillow, barely opening an eye at Erik's sudden presence.]

You have a cat.

[ Erik raises a single eyebrow at that before letting the door shut behind him. Leaning against the wall, arms folded he takes stock of the situation before diving into the conversation. ]

This situation aside, how much have the others filled you in on?

I had one in Promenade. Bozo showed up with me.

[Erik might give him heat about the name, but he doesn't really care. That cat is the one damn thing that he has to remind him of the friends he lost. At least Charles had confirmed to the others he wasn't lying, or some crazed idiot.

He watched the other mutant carefully, giving a shrug.]

Nothing--besides some idiot went crazy with fear gas last week.

[ He doesn’t say anything about the name, except the briefest nod in its direction. There’s enough dogs around the place that a cat would be useful, but at the same time, still not the best situation for one. Erik’s bene here long enough that he can give a rundown of the situation, but if Alex isn’t aware of what’s going on, perhaps the shorter route may be conceivable. ]

Let’s cut the bullshit this time. I don’t expect you to agree with me, nor do I expect you to follow me entirely. [ Given that the other Alex had all but cut him off, Erik assumed the same of this one, and he wasn’t about to beg for forgiveness over something he stood by entirely. ] The ship is run by two particular figures, both of whom I haven’t had the luxury of speaking to, thanks to their unwillingness to come out in the open. There’s supposedly another entity, one responsible for picking out a handful of inhabitants here.

I suppose it doesn’t need to be said that anyone sticking their nose in the wrong place will most likely end up under scrutiny.

Fair enough. [Alex crosses his arms over his chest, settling back to listen.]

No, I'm not surprised. But is that really different from back home? Sticking your neck out means taking that risk on.

[Charles had confirmed that he was telling the truth, but he didn't know if the telepath passed the information on--regardless, there had been two factions in Promenade, too. The royal family, and Genero. With residents caught in the middle.]

Is one more 'generous' or are both antagonistic towards us?

[Alex isn't going to cut you off, Erik; not if you are of use. He's learned to be pragmatic.]

Hardly any different, you know that. [ And he cracks the barest of a smirk at that. At least Alex is aware of how things work out in society, without having to deal with the arguments over his own actions. ]

I'd say both. [ Running a hand through his hair, Erik shifts from one leg to another, balancing his weight. ] The ones we know of that have shown their face around here are less likely to speak. The one responsible for... this, [ He gestures around, indicating the current hysteria. ] seems antagonistic. Tony Stark managed to hold a conversation with it. However much he learned is anyone's guess.

This is the second time I've had to deal with a Tony Stark. And I'm sure he's telling someone; but it definitely isn't going to be us.

[Unless Erik somehow ended up becoming an ally with the genius...but considering the older mutant's attitude, somehow he doubted that.]

So basically, besides knowing that they exist, we don't have anything else to go on.

[ He shouldn't be surprised by Alex's words, the warning only a confirmation of the sort of interaction he's had so far with Tony. ] I'll play nice. [ Though Erik's indifferent tone suggests he has every idea of doing anything but that. Erik respects him for what he can do, but beyond that his intentions are anything but. ]

No, they're dropping hints about what they are, and needless to say I can't figure it out. My understanding of technology only goes so far.

[Alex gave a slight nod.]

I am okay at some devices but--the technology I encountered in Promenade was a bit beyond me, too.

[People dreamed up video game consoles, dvd players, color televisions. But no one really explained how those things worked.]

We're going to have to learn fast if we want to keep up.
