[ The camera comes on and here is Alayne Stone (yes, the same Alayne Stone that supposedly bled all over her bedroom floor when demons still ran amok on the Tranquility). To her credit, she's looking much better (much more healthy than she probably has any right to be). But that's the beside the point.
The camera comes on and here is Alayne Stone and she dips, giving the same perfunctory bow that she is known to give upon greeting. Though an effort has made to make herself look tidy, her brow is pinched with worry. Her words are quick and, often, she looks off camera at something out of sight. ]
My good Tranquility, [ she says in greeting, her clip not terse per say, but approaching it. ] I am looking for a man. I— I do not know his name, but should he see my face he will remember our acquaintance.
Twice now he has come to my aid. [ He avenged my death. He gave me a terrible knife. ] And— and I find myself in need of his aid once again. [ A pause and then, squaring her shoulders, she looks into the camera and says simply (as if it were directly to the man in question). ] It is a matter of wolves. Please— [ She is about to entreat him, but thinks better of it. (He does not seem the type to be swayed by begging.) ] —do not remain silent. I know you watch and listen.
I will eagerly await your word. [ A pause and then Alayne dips again, more awkwardly this time (she wishes she could say more). ] —thank you.

Re: private;
Myself? No. It's more as if I share the wolf's mind when I transform, and I'm told it's that way for others.
private;
So you do not dream of wolves, [ she cautions. (Sansa had never had a wolf dream; why would Alayne have one too.) ]
private;
It doesn't work that way in my world. I simply transform into one, body and all, every full moon. Similarly, those in my world who can become animals do so, body and all. But-- as I told Bran-- there are differences in magic between every country where I'm from. I should imagine the differences between magic in worlds is rather vast.
[A beat. Gently:]
Is this something to do with the direwolves?
private;
—perhaps.

Bran lies so still and Summer is so quiet — attentive but awake, his ears pricked and his amber eyes knowing. And there is part of Alayne that feels something stir, something rooted deep — like a secret she never bothered to learn and that even her heart has forgotten but mourns nevertheless. ] And so many of the stories are lies. It would be terrible to give him false hope.
How many children dream of being birds and flying far far away? But how many of those children ever see the sky? He is tethered to fast to ground already.

But that — that does not make them magic. What of Robb and Grey Wind? [ What of Lady? (It's a question she does not dare give voice.) ]
private;
private;
Do— do you think he's magic, professor?
Re: private;
I believe he suspects he does. And I truly believe that if he thinks he does, it would be a good idea to try to encourage and train that talent.
private;
Would it be dangerous? [ she asks absently and then comes back to full attention to assert: ] I do not want him harmed.

private;
You must hold council with the King in the North. The young Lord Stark is his kin, not mine, and I have no right to speak for him, though I worry.
I worry much.
private;
[He smiles fondly.]
That's admirable, Alayne. There aren't many who care for their friends in such a way.
private;
[ She nods, earnestly. ] I must do all I can to protect them.
private;
You and I both. I do not know them as well as you do, but the Stark family seems a good one. I promise you and they both have my loyalty.
private;
Me as well? [ she says her expression growing a bit bashful. ]
private;
[He smiles gently.]
You are just as important as Bran or Robb.
private; QUIETLY CRIES OVER THEIR CR :C
It is very kind of you to say so, Professor. Thank you.
private; SO BEAUTIFUL I LOVE IT
[He smiles again.]
Might I ask-- the magic Bran suspects he has. Does it extend to the entire Stark family?
private; SOB YOU ARE HER MAESTER LUWIN, REMUS :C
It— it is a question better served to one of the Starks themselves. I know only of what the Northerns say and the stories Bran tells me of the Children of the Forest.
private; BEST TEACHER AMIRITE
I will, then. Though-- you seem to have some control over Lady as well. Enough that she doesn't snap at people.
private; MAKES HIM A CHAIN OF METAL LINKS OF AWESOME
[ It surprises her how easily the lie comes, how readily it slides off of her tongue as if it were the truth itself. ] Birds sing when I speak to them. Animals listen. [ A smile, soft and relenting. ] But it is not magic, not like the Starks.
My father says it must be my mother's beauty, for she was much the same.
private; AND ALL MAGIC.
private; ALL OF THE VALERIAN STEEL JUST FOR YOU REMUS
