[It's taken Isaac longer to pull himself together, so you'll excuse him for being late to the intro party. Well, if you want to get technical, he hasn't pulled himself together at all. He's only been temporarily calmed down, and the weary man that appears on the video feed is clearly still very anxious. He's thin and disheveled, probably in need of some sleep, and nervously biting at his fingernails. It takes him a moment to speak, and when he does, it's in a very soft, shaking voice.]

What do I have to do to get them to take me home?

[He swallows thickly, tightly clenching his hand closed.]

Please--there's something important that I still need to do.

[Left the stove on, gotta let himself be killed, really no difference. Isaac is an odd one. He pauses, shakes his head, and lets out a soft chuckle.]

No, of course not. That would take some luck, wouldn't it?

Don't. [That's clearly a command, given the way his voice rises like it so rarely does. He doesn't want to hear excuses being made for the situation. If anything, he believes he deserves all this mental anguish. He made the decision to pull the trigger. His intentions had been good, but that really didn't matter when he was partially fueled by jealousy and partially fueled by the thirst to be a hero. None of it was ever Peter's fault.]

Do not tell me I don't need to apologize. What I did--what I was going to do--it was a mistake. It was stupidity. I shouldn't have listened. I should have solved the problem my own way and just kept painting. I should have just let her go. She was always happier with you anyway. [He really isn't trying to be spiteful or jealous. His tone is more wistful than anything. He genuinely loved Simone and he's only beginning to realize how much happier (and alive) she would have been if he had just let her go.]

[ Peter's eyes are rolling before he can stop himself because he doens't like being told what to do, and he doesn't like being told what to do by Isaac. Not when it comes to his own guilt, because Peter's guilty conscience is banking on more than just Simone at this point.

Apparently while he's moved past it, Isaac hasn't, which he supposes is understandable considering that... Isaac died. And he really should just let the other man have whatever guilt he wants, because apparently whatever Peter might say will be nothing but useless. ]

Fine. Won't tell you to do anything else, it's pointless at this point anyway. [ Because as far as Peter's concerned, she wasn't happier with him. She wanted Isaac back, or maybe she wanted Isaac to be the man she dreamed him up to be, he's not entirely sure. He never really got the chance to find out, but he's moved on. And he doesn't know how to say that without sounding like an asshole. ] If it makes you feel better, than apologize all you want.

[It really is pointless. Isaac is too stubborn and broken to accept anything from Peter, whether it be pity or forgiveness, and he's glaring at the screen the entire time Peter is speaking.]

[His hands clench as he freezes, tries to calm down, tries to remember that Peter was just as much affected by this he was.]

I tried to kill you. I tried to--don't you get that? I didn't even have to. I could have just told Bennet no and found some other way. I destroyed my life and I know I did some damage to yours as well.

What do you want me to say, Isaac. [ Because obviously there wasn't anything he could, and all this would end up in was an argument about how Peter had moved on. Granted, he'd been given the time to. Isaac hadn't. ]
