[It's taken Isaac longer to pull himself together, so you'll excuse him for being late to the intro party. Well, if you want to get technical, he hasn't pulled himself together at all. He's only been temporarily calmed down, and the weary man that appears on the video feed is clearly still very anxious. He's thin and disheveled, probably in need of some sleep, and nervously biting at his fingernails. It takes him a moment to speak, and when he does, it's in a very soft, shaking voice.]

What do I have to do to get them to take me home?

[He swallows thickly, tightly clenching his hand closed.]

Please--there's something important that I still need to do.

[Left the stove on, gotta let himself be killed, really no difference. Isaac is an odd one. He pauses, shakes his head, and lets out a soft chuckle.]

No, of course not. That would take some luck, wouldn't it?

Isaac. [He furrows his eyebrows, looking both perplexed and disappointed.] I don't know how long you've been here, but...no one's been taken home? At all?

Nice to meet you. [It's said in a warm tone.] I have been here a few months now. People have left, but not through their own choice I'm afraid. They're just sent home without warning.

[foresaw]

Likewise. [There isn't much heart behind it, though. He genuinely does appreciate her kindness, it's just difficult to show his appreciation when there's so much else to be concerned by.] Who would choose to stay?

[agtcarter]

I suppose people who don't have much of a life to get back to would stay. [It's a sobering thought and Peggy doesn't wish to dwell on it too much.]

[foresaw]

...I don't have any life to get back to. [He pauses, hesitant.] But I don't want a life here either.

video;

[agtcarter]

I'm sorry. [She replies, a touch of sympathy in her tone.] I believe that not many people would want to live out their lives here either.

[foresaw]

[He doesn't respond for a moment. He just clasps his hands and gazes at some fixed point off camera, thinking, hesitating.]

I know that you're probably not who I should be asking this question to. I don't expect an answer. But what if you're supposed to die? Soon. And what if it's something you're not supposed to prevent? What do you do then?

There's a man I know here on board who made the decision to sacrifice himself, even when I didn't want him to. But he did it to save people. I wanted to prevent it but he told me it was his choice.

[She wasn't supposed to be talking about Steve though.]

Your circumstances are different, I understand that. If I knew that I was going to die, I'd do everything possible to prevent it from happening. I'd expect almost anyone to do the same thing.

[He'd expect the same, but fighting it was never an option for him.]

Who am I to prevent something that's so much bigger than me? [It's more than that, but he would be here all day trying to explain and that would bring up all kinds of emotions and ugh. It would just be messy.]

Bigger than you? Does your death trigger something else? You speak as if you know what happens after you die; would I be wrong in thinking that, Isaac?
