So what is our purpose here? What are we supposed to do here? I'm interested in what people have done here so far. What sort of lives are to be led? Are their jobs, duties, how does survival work in space -- if that is to be believed.

I'm assuming I have no handler, and if this is some bizarre Dollhouse, then it's something I haven't seen. [And if it's the Attic, she doesn't care that she just outed the existence of Dollhouses.]

I do better with routines. I am a doctor. Sort of. It's what I know how to do at least.

[Christian still isn't sure when he's using this thing correctly, but he's managed to figure out the basic functions. He looks like he's trying to convince himself he's composed because, let's face it, he really isn't.]

The only thing I've figured out is that it looks like a lot of people don't know what to do here.

[He's sort of confused by the Dollhouse thing, though. This was nothing like any dollhouse he'd seen. It was too big.]

A handler is someone who watches over you, in my world. Only certain people get them, and there is a bond. [Of course a lot of it has to do with programming and being strapped down to a chair, but she won't get into that.]

I agree. There is a always a purpose.

Why are handlers needed? Can't people watch themselves?

Sometimes they can, but a handler makes sure that you're always safe. Or at least working in the parameters you should be. [If the active thinks they're an assassin or skydiving, there's not much a handler can do there.]

If you do not understand it, then you were not meant to. [She really doesn't want to get into telling people that personalities can be wiped, that hers was.]

I don't know about 'supposed to,' but trying for a little normalcy sounds like the top of most lists.

Personally, I'm just relieved to see another doctor coming in.
