[Here guys. Have a grumpy, moody, and touchy as hell AI turned human, with things made just this much worse by the heat wave that he's just not used to dealing with... And while he might remember things like swimming... It's not really his experience, so he's been avoiding trying to use that method.]

Just when I thim being human can't suck anymore? This place finds a way to prove me wrong...

Anyone have any suggestions for dealing with the heat that don't involve the pool?

{AKA he doesn't want to try and potentially find out he can't swim and need help...]

[Have a tired sounding Epsilon.] It seems to have quieted down.

Is it safe for people to leave their rooms now or are the damn monsters still out there? [Yea, as admittedly pathetic as it is, Epsilon chose this time to exercise some discretion when he saw the warnings to stick to his room. As proud as he might be, he's not getting himself killed. He knows he's a shitty fighter.]

[Locked to Delta]
You still alive out there?

[Okay, yea, he's actually worried about Delta, oddly enough. Not that he'd ever admit it.]

[Sigma has been keeping low and observing the ship and its occupants, but eventually he decides to poke a little more insistently through the network. It's video, held and trained on his face.]

It is something to find oneself in a setting not too wildly dissimilar to their own, but enough so as to enter the realm of the uncanny valley. I am familiar with space, and spaceships, but there is enough about the Tranquility that speaks of its differences that I cannot simply trick myself into thinking I am in my own universe.

The hallways aren't quite the right shape, or color. The hangar layout feels wrong. I wonder what is the more disconcerting; to be somewhere that is very nearly, although definitively not, like home, or find yourself so far removed from your lands of origin that every waking moment is a reminder.

I would like a discussion on the topic; how different is the Tranquility compared to your own homes, and how does that make you feel?

[ As usual York's posture is casual as he appears on the video feed. This time he's set the comm unit farther away from him so that the viewer can see him leaning against his desk, walking a pen end to end between his fingers. ]

So hey, I know it's been a while since we talked about doing this, but Blake disappeared and I never followed up. So I figured I'd take a little informal poll, see who might still be interested. We were going to start a sports league, sort of an informal thing where anybody who feels like tossing a ball around can work off some energy, make new friends, that kind of thing.

[ The pen flipped out of his hand just then, but instead of chasing it he merely lounges back even farther, his hands on the edge of the desk. ]

Any contributions, any suggestions, I'm up for all of it. We'd talked about soccer and basketball originally. We don't have any regulation balls but hell, we've all gotten good at improvising around here, right?

Oh, we need nets and baskets too. Anybody who can help out by making that kind of stuff, I'd like to hear from you too.
