In the spirit of sharing things . . .

[He gives a little sigh and tiredly rubs at his face.]

Many of you know what werewolves are, whether they are simply myths or actual reality for you. For those who don't, however-- werewolves are people who, during the full moon, change into wolves. Rather self-explanatory, I know. If someone is bitten by a werewolf while they are in their wolf form, they too become a werewolf. As far as I've heard, it's the same the world over.

Where I come from, however, there has been a cure developed-- not to remove the curse entirely, but to subdue it. It so happens I found the ingredients in my locker a few days ago.

[He stares at the camera firmly.]

Should anyone need it, or would like to try it-- I will not ask you to reveal yourselves. I don't believe anyone should be forced into revealing who or what they are, should they not wish to. But my room-- and the potion-- is always open to any who might want to try it.

This also means, however, that during the full moon, I am not dangerous. I'd appreciate anyone suddenly deciding they fancy themselves monster hunters to curb that urge; there is no need for it.

[He doesn't bother with responding, but goes to find Remus instead. It's not as if he'll be difficult to find--it's a large ship, but there's only so many places one can be tucked away, and Remus-- well, is it predictability when you know someone well enough to have general ideas of where he'll be?

So but it isn't difficult to find Remus. What is a bit more difficult is reconciling the fact that there's loads that he doesn't know, loads that he's missed out on. First off, he's gone and admitted that he's a werewolf, without much fuss--perhaps because there's some cure.

He stops in the door, arms folded over his chest.]

Secret admirer, leaving you potion ingredients?

[He glances up at Sirius, smiling a little gratefully. Not that he'll admit it, but it's nice to have someone familiar nearby after such an announcement.]

It makes as much sense as any. Though really, their timing is quite odd. With you here I'm much less a danger.

Logical conclusion would be it's me that's put 'em there. That way the timing would all line up perfectly. Only I'd have given you something more useful.

[He kicks at the floor a moment, thoughtfully.]

What's in it?

[Werewolves. Demons. Space. This place just gets worse and worse, but still Blaine can appreciate a man who basically comes out and then offers support to people in a similar situation.]

I think it's really brave that you came forward to say this and offer your help.

Wolfsbane, of course. Nightshade. A bit of Ptolemy, along with a dozen others. It's rather difficult to make, to be honest, but I think I can manage.

[He tilts his head, a wry smirk on his face.]

After a few decades, you learn to get it over it. Thank you, though.

I'm sure, but it's still brave. [Blaine offers a small smile.] I can't say I know anyone who is a werewolf, but if I meet them I'll know who to send them to?

Precisely. Though you do know one now, at least.

I do.

Remus Lupin. Are you new here?

[Kurt's in a similar situation of what the fuck is going on where am I really but Lupin helped him before. He seems genuinely nice, even if...yeah.]

It is--painful? Changing into one?

Ooh, cocky in our old age, are we. Did your admirer leave you a cauldron as well, or are we using cooking pots?

[He nods.]

Very much so, I'm afraid.

Whatever pots we can find. The kitchen has quite a few pots, though I'm afraid Ned might be rather irritated with me for invading his kitchen.

[He snorts.]

Don't tell me you've made friends with house elves!

[He smiles despite himself-- less at the jab, which is rather uncomfortable, but more at the fact there's someone here who knows what house elves are.]

He's a passenger here. An extraordinary cook; you'd quite like him.

I am. I arrived with this latest jump.

Mm. Well, I'd welcome you, but I don't precisely think this is the sort of place one wants to be welcomed.

That's--terrible. I'm so sorry.

[His mind can't really wrap around it, so he assumes it's like an illness. It certainly seems enough like one.]

[He smiles back, pleased to have gotten that reaction out of him, and shoves away from the door to saunter into the room.]

Oh, well, that's all right, then. We'll leave him a pan for bacon and say no more of it. It has to be a massive kitchen, for this ship, loads of pots and things, he can't miss one.

Does he do requests, d'you think?

It's taking some getting used to.

There are people from home here though.

[He gives him a small smile.]

One of the perks of being a werewolf is you gain incredible resilience.

Most likely. Though I've heard he specializes in pies, so perhaps it's a match made in heaven.

Really! That's a stroke of luck. Anyone close?

[Blaine nods]
