[When the video feed starts, two masked figures are hunched over, staring into the camera. Both Blonde. Both in costume. Something... not quite right. There's definitely something a little off. The one in green speaks first. Artemis? Did you hair get shorter? And... are you filling out the costume a bit more?
Similarly, the chest area of Steph’s costume might look a little lumpy but that has nothing to do with the socks that were stuffed in there. No way. And the longer hair is totally because of extensions, bet you didn’t know there were hair extensions in space.
Those close to the girls will probably have realised that they switched costumes. How else are they going to tell if their friends are possessed or not? Exactly.]
Okay, it's on. Team, report in! You know who you are. Plus Hayley, Oxford, and.... Crane. I guess. Whatever.
Word. And don’t even bother trying to trick us with your demony ways, we will totally know.
[That gets a look from “Artemis”, though, and “Steph” just grins.]
What? You talk like that.
When!? When do I ever-- Yeah. What Batgirl said! Seriously, though, we’ll know.
… And insert dry comment about beating dudes up here.
[They are clearly the best at this. Good teamwork, girls.]
((ooc: Purple is Steph, green is Artemis!))

Hey, remember when you almost DIED and I was RIGHT THERE for you? Or is your memory hazy because of all the blood loss?

fightconversation through a pair of screens. ]My memory would probably be hazy. If I hadn't been unconscious.
no subject
Well, I was there. And I helped. And you're going to tell me exactly what happened to you!
[Avoiding the original topic like wooooah. Seriously, he tells her nothing!]

tim looks. less than impressed. which has actually been his default expression long before the masks were put aside. it had been, admittedly, disorienting to have awoken in medical bay- and the debriefing process hadn't exactly gone down any easier in the days that follow. but he's holding his own. doing what he can to make sense of it.
he'd been wondering, after all, who had been responsible for saving his life. the polite thank you never finds the air though. ]
I'd rather know why you're still playing dress up.
You swore to me you were done.

She also didn't miss that lack of a thank you, but really all she did was scream for help, get towels, and apply pressure while that doctor did all the work.]
Do you really not remember finding me all set up in the Batcave, having this conversation, going on that mission and seeing me totally kick ass and be so much more amazing than before, and then you said you were proud of me and let me keep being Batgirl? [Because she could have sworn she hadn't dreamt all that.]
... Not that I would have stopped, anyway. O's okay with it! Cass dumped the job on me and went off to Hong Kong! I've been helping! Even Dick was cool with it-- er... our Dick. Not... this way-smaller one.

[ he cuts himself off, and one hand lifts, fingers curled to press the side of his fist to his mouth. tim's gaze moves away. focuses. he's always done better with things like this. problems to solve. something significantly more pressing to consider.
they're from different continuums. alright. it'll explain the discrepancies in their memories- because he's not going to acknowledge the possibility that he really has gone crazy. or that something's wrong with him- to have forgotten- god knows how much time. ]

What's wrong with Dick?

[She was surprised he didn't know already.]
You can unjustifiably yell at me about the Batgirl thing after we figure out the demon thing, okay? This is priority, and then we'll talk. We need to talk, Tim.

he doesn't nod, and maybe it isn't agreement as much as it is acknowledgement- but tim's shoulders settle into a steady line regardless. ]
Have you taken any preventative measures?
Either one of you?

It was hard enough doing this the first time. She breaks the eye contact long before it hits strictly necessary because she's not sure if she can trust herself to stay that strong a second time.
Steph rubs at the back of her neck and glances at Artemis.]
Not yet. This kind of thing is Z's department. Open to suggestions.

Shy of getting some questionably tasteful tattoos, I haven't seen any concrete options. Salt circles won't do us any good, offensively speaking.
Iron, we could work with.
