I do believe we're supposed to meet for drinks. Unless you're too busy trying to save the ship. [A beat.] I'm just teasing. Besides, it's been a while.

[She supposed to be keeping tabs on him after all.]

[Private//Unhackable to Mason Lockwood.]

We should catch up sometime, yeah?

[Voice filters out of the way, Bela begins to address the ship instead.]

So, aside from the obvious desire to get off this ship, what would each of you wish for above anything else?

Consider me curious.

Glad to hear it. [She can't help but be curious about what he needed them for in the first place. But perhaps she wasn't going to get a straight answer.] Ah, okay. Good luck with them.

Thanks. [ He's not even going to let an awkward pause settle here because if he does, it'll raise more questions. And Mason's smooth enough to not have awkward pauses happen to him very often. ] So aside from wanting to get off the ship, what's the one thing you wish for most? [ He grins because yes, he's fully aware that he didn't answer first, but he's curious as to whether or not she'll share with him. And, for that matter, if she'll share honestly. ]

[Well, okay, he was going to play it differently then and ask her. He was the first one to do it and Bela had to credit him for questions hers in the first place. If he was looking for a really honest answer, he wasn't going to get it. Truthfully, what she wanted above anything else was to get out of the deal that was hanging over her head. If Bela could have that, she'd want for nothing else.]

A bath tub. [There's a beat.] I doubt I'm going to get any other luxuries here but if I had something that I could just sink into and forget about my troubles for a while, I'd be happy.

[ He nods. ] I'd kill for a hot tub. [ Not... literally, of course. ] Either that or for a pit-stop at a beach somewhere. I think this is probably the longest I've ever gone without surfing and I'm pretty sure it's making me go through withdrawals.

Oh, a hot tub would be good. [Just the thought of it made Bela smile.] You surf? I don't think you told me that before, Mason. Although I should have guessed, given how athletic you look. [There's a little grin from her.] A beach does sound heavenly though.

Every change I get, yeah. [ He laughs a little. ] Well, to be fair, I run a lot, too. [ And lift weights. And just about anything else that'll help curb the enhanced emotions he's dealing with. ] We've got that holograph room or whatever here, but I just don't think it'd be the same.

I've found myself using the swimming pool on numerous occasions but I suppose a few laps around the ship would be beneficial. [It helped her to relax and clear her mind. Also made her forget about being on a spaceship...at least temporarily.] That is a room I haven't used yet you know.

I should check out the pool sometime. [ He just usually prefers running over anything else because it gives him time to himself. Less so here on the ship, considering all the people and the confined spaces, but it's something he's been doing for years now, so. ] Yeah, I haven't, either. I've passed it a couple times, though.

The pool is nice. You should definitely come along sometime. Maybe I'd see you there. [It's possible that she sounds a little hopeful about that.] I'm wary about it. For one thing, I don't think I'd use it properly and if I did, I'm worried that it might malfunction somehow.

[ There's definitely a grin in his voice when he says, ] That'll depend on what kind of bathing suit you wear when you go. [ He suspects bikini, but he doesn't want to assume~ ] I just don't really see the point in it, honestly. It's never gonna beat the real thing, no matter what you use it for.

I've yet to acquire a bathing suit. [She replies, a smirk very much in her tone when Bela replies.] Had to make do with an alternative. [Leaves that to his imagination.] Exactly. Yes, it's probably interesting to see but in all honesty, I'd prefer the real outdoors and not some simulated thing.

[ He lets out a pleased sound from the back of his throat. ] I suddenly feel the need to check out the swimming pool sometime very soon. [ And his imagination appreciates it way more than it should. ] If only whoever brought us here would let us take a week or two for a vacation someplace.

[That only makes Bela laugh and wish that she could see his face right now.] I wholeheartedly encourage this sudden need, Mason. It might do you some good. [She enjoyed the banter that they had, the way they played off each other.] You mean like some kind of exotic planet with beaches and oceans for miles around?

It might do me some good, or it might do you some good? [ Either way, he's totally up for it. ] It'd be a hell of a lot better than this place. Something tells me they won't be taking us someplace like that anytime soon, though, because too many people would want to stay.

Hm, I have a feeling that it will be beneficial for the both of us. [This is what Bela likes to hear.] Almost anywhere would be better than this ship. But yeah, I think you're right; something or someone wants to keep us here so they won't bring us anywhere that we wouldn't want to leave.

I can agree with that. [ If he smirks any longer, his face might get stuck that way. ] Exactly.

Well, I think we should make the best of it then, yeah? Forget about the negative things.

Sounds good to me. Any chance you're free tomorrow sometime? Or later tonight?

I'm free all day tomorrow. You can have me around for as long as you want, Mason.

You should probably be careful when it comes to statements like that because I just might end up keeping you around all day.

The whole day? If that's the case, then I guess we need to come up with things to keep ourselves occupied.

[ His grin is even wider now and she can probably hear it in his voice. ] Oh, trust me, we'll figure out plenty of ways to do that.

[Already, she was thinking of all the things they could do. It makes Bela smile.] A part of me wishes that it was tomorrow already. But I should let you go. Save the fun for tomorrow.

And it's going to be a lot of fun. [ That's one of those promises he loves to keep, too. With a soft chuckle - he's even shaking his head - Mason ends the feed. ]
