Good morning, Tranquility.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Doctor John Watson. I, along with a handful of others, represent your medical staff.

Everyone's aware that there's been a recent incident due to the, ehm, machinations of a passenger trying to seize control of the ship.

[ There's a brief tightening of his lips, but he continues on. ]

There were quite a few serious injuries, but I'm happy to assure you that no casualties have occurred.

However, I do feel the need to tell you that we have a problem here in the medbay.

The passenger in question was a non-human individual, and as such had some special needs to be fulfilled. However, we did not have these things on file because the patient didn't feel they ought to inform the medbay of their conditions and did not come in for screening, despite repeated requests over the network and within the new arrival letter. We very nearly lost them.

[ Straightening, tilting his chin up somewhat, jaw flexing before he addresses the feed with some levity. ]

Medbay is here to provide for all passengers in need, not just those that are human. We do not discriminate between any race, creed, or species. All that matters is that you are being provided the best possible care and, to do that, we need to be informed of any and all differences in your biology. We can get this by a simple, painless screening at your leisure or by a simple questionaire, for those of you who are already familiar with the difference between yourself and a human.

Health records are completely private and may only be accessed by the medical staff. It's really important that we be informed of any known health conditions in humans as well. I know some of you out there have been avoiding disclosing any facts about yourself either due to... shame or paranoia or just bad experiences with doctors, and that is natural. However, I'm asking you to consider the alternative: that in a state of emergency, we cannot assist you to the best of our abilities, and that your chances of surviving anything major are slim to none. We have powerful technology and we're all very capable, but we're not infallible.

This was a scare for all of us. While we can make steps toward making sure this never happens again, we also need to plan for the possibility of another crisis scenario.

I'm attaching a form to this message. Anyone who wishes to avoid speaking to doctors need only fill it out and send it to me, 001 - 197. I will put it into the medical archives and erase my device of it after.

For those of you who are new this month, we'll be having what's called 'jump' soon. If you remember, you woke up out of one of the stasis tanks in the medbay... Sorry to say, you'll be headed back that way tomorrow. The ship makes a quick acceleration, essentially, and throws a lot of things around. The tanks save us from that sort of pain, so it's necessary you go to them.

You'll be facing memory loss once you come out of the tanks again for about a day or so, so I suggest you keep notes to yourself if you need to be reminded of something directly after. I, for example, will be putting down a reminder that medbay is going to need some volunteers to help out a bit, especially in the cases where there is a high fluctuation of patients. I've talked with our other medical doctors, Ratchet and Magnus, about this before and I think it's about time we start putting it in motion.

So I think we'll be taking interviews a few days after the jump. If anyone's interested in being trained in nursing or emergency medicine, keep it in mind.

I would be happy to help you, of course! As I already told you, I have knowledge in human biology. I would be happy to have some training before I'm able to help. [Stats grins sheepishly. He has the theory but he still needs practice.]

And thanks for the advice in getting psychological help. I think I need it. [Oh boy, he does. The creepy room and the mutiny did much for it, thank you very much.]

Only medical personnel. Right now that's about four people.

What happened to the blood? Alexander took it. Do you still have it at the medbay? Is it safe?

We've never had anyone named Alexander on the staff, so if he took your blood, chances are he still has it.

[ His brow creases with concern. ]

I seem to remember you. What's your name, again?

[There's a twinge of hesitation in his voice and he shifts uncomfortably.]

He's gone but he took a lot of people's blood. For biology, or something like that. Mine too. It really isn't in the medbay?

The medical professionals are Doctor Ratchet, Doctor Helen Magnus, and myself. We also have an EMT, Caleb St. Clair.

[ Medieval princess, ahoy, Dr. Watson. This one curtseys when the feed comes on. ]

Doctor Watson, you say? There was mention of you to both myself and my— [ Brother. No, Alayne Stone has no brothers. ] —companion, the young Lord Stark. [ She gives a dip of her head. ] I am Alayne Stone, doctor.

Asato. If he's gone, all I can think is that he's got those samples somewhere. I'll check the records to be certain, but I don't think anyone's brought by blood from a different department.

you mentioned a shrink.

Thank you. You know Sherlock, right? Sherlock can detective it.

[Cut him some slack, this isn't a word he's familiar with and the boy does look genuinely concerned.]

[ Oh hello! You look like you're just hitting your teens, which makes John quite sorry to see you aboard. Then again, he hasn't seen Bran yet, has he?

John gives her a smile anyway. ]

Is there something I can do for you, Miss Stone? Or Lord Stark? You don't mean Tony Stark, do you?

[ God, he wouldn't put it past Tony to call himself 'Lord' from what he's heard of the man from Sherlock and read. ]

They don't have access to the medical files, just as we have no access to psychological files.

I'm fairly certain Dr. Crane is a psychologist. We've got a few, but if you want information on them, you'll have to contact Dr. Crane.

Why is this blood so important to you? Can you not come by the medbay to give a proper sample?

[ When Dr. Watson smiles, Alayne hesitates (so subtly as to be insignificant) before smiling back in return. ]

I have heard of this 'Tony Stark' aboard but he, like Hayley, is not of Lord Bran's house. Nor of the North, nor of Westeros at all — if our memories serve us correctly, doctor. [ She clears her throat and composes herself to look both needy and humble. He will not say no, she reassures herself. We have been told as much, and look how he reaches to help others. ]

Bran Stark is Lord of Winterfell and I, although a Stone, have taken to ensuring his well-being. He is— [ There is no kind way to say it. ] —without the use of his legs. We have claimed one of the healing house's wheeled chairs so that he may be given some freedom to move.

I hope— we meant no harm in taking it, though we could not find you to beg permission.

It's not that. [Well, it is, but there's something that worries him far more than just the sample itself.]

It's because I don't know where it is now. I don't want to have anything happen. That's why Sherlock could maybe find it.

[Paranoid? Maybe. But he doesn't think he's lacking a good reason to be so.]

I can give medbay another sample, though, if it's important.

For the record, to anyone browsing through the feed--I recognize a lot of people are hesitant to share their problems with a so-called 'shrink,' and while personal contact is optimal, don't be afraid to use the communication device.

[ He did... sort of watch you get slapped by one of the passengers, but this is his way of being discrete. ]

[A nod. He's used to CMO, not Doctor in front of his name, but one does have to adapt.]

Every jump has had differing reactions in the passengers. Who knows what will happen with this one. The medical staff will have to be quick after jump.

how secure are your files?

I suppose I should come by the medbay and get checked out at some point, then. Though honestly, judging from past experience, if I'm ever badly injured, it may be best to just leave me be and let my natural defenses kick in.

[Oh, Crane is here, Stats won't have to chase him down on the network. He grins sheepishly for a second.]

Hello. I think I'll need your help. [Stats looks a bit embarassed.] The recent events have taken a toll on me, it would seem. I'm not sailing with all my sails anymore. To be honest, I'm already down to five knots or so. [You may be able to notice he looks worn out. He's been here for a while now and sooner or later he would have needed help, even without the events.]

I don't know how my healing works here, but we're close enough to human that it shouldn't matter. Do I still need to come in for a checkup?

On a medical note, I seem to feel quite nauseous after coming out of the tanks. Do you have something for that?
