But perhaps you, as well as they, need to remember the bigger picture. It's hardly even Van Rijn at this point. It's the thing that's mastered this entire situation, that wants to pit us against his armies, that is pulling out all the tricks to ensure we don't jump away. It's doing this for its own aim, and we cannot afford to allow that to happen. It wants to be free of us, and once it is, there's no stopping it.

And you won't convince anyone by sharing your experiences. Sorry. They have their experiences too, it's what's convincing them to stay. The necessary thing we have to face is scary and unknown.
