Hello? I hope this is working... I'm never really sure.

[ Elizabeth, looking much more cheerful than during her last broadcast, smiles brightly for the camera. ]

Well! I've been having some strange headaches lately, so I thought it might help to focus my attentions on something. I was given a few things from home in my locker after the last Jump and put them to good use.

[ Voilà! She reveals a painting. Elizabeth beams at it as she turns from the camera, then chews thoughtfully on her lip as if looking to fault it. ]

I only had red, so it isn't as... vivid as I might have liked, but I'm hoping that the next Jump will have a few more colors. [ She huffs shortly, tucking a wayward strand of hair behind her ear. ] If anyone else has any art supplies and wouldn't mind sharing, please let me know! It seems a little morbid, almost, just using black and red.

And... I can do some sketches or paintings for anyone, if there are any requests. I'm far from any kind of proficiency, but it does help to take my mind off of things.

Oh, dear. I can't imagine Columbia was all that pleasant, then. But if it has its pleasures, it can't be purely terrible, can it?

[Or, well. People can miss their homes even if their homes are awful.]

I don't like it, and I drink rather a lot. Sadly, there isn't much choice.

I think it really depends who you are.

[ Considering the rampant racism, sexism and general dystopic nature of the city. ]

Ah. When it comes down to things like that, I usually don't fit it quite so well.

[He's so very good at being himself, after all, and 'himself' is a bit outside the supposed norm.]

Is your home Andrastian?

"Andrastian?" [ She frowns slightly, thinking, and then shakes her head. ] No, and... truthfully, I've never heard of such a thing. It's a religion, then? One from your home?

Indeed. The most common one, though there are different forms of it.

[He pauses, thinking it over.]

I suppose it's no surprise that different worlds have different religions, since even where I'm from, different races have different religions. I can't say I'd really considered it before. What sort of religion do you have, then?

Well, in Columbia, they believe in some bastardized version of a very widespread religion called Christianity. Only, in the city, the focus is on an angel called Columbia and her prophet, a man named Comstock.

[ Truthfully, it may sound similar to Andraste and the Herald, not that Elizabeth is aware. ]

An angel and a prophet? Not that dissimilar to the Chantry, really. At least on the surface.

[Dorian doubts they're really all that similar, but at least it's enough to give him some idea of things.]

And do you believe?

And the Chantry is your church?

[ Does she believe? Elizabeth shifts, looking... a little more uncomfortable. ]

... Not really, no. [ How can she, after all that Comstock has done to her? ] I'm meant to play a sort of role in all of it, and I don't much want to.

Not mine, exactly, but yet.

[He's not exactly a churchgoing type, which doesn't mean he doesn't believe.]

We don't always like the roles that people try to push upon us. I suppose it doesn't matter now that you're here, but do you have the option to refuse?

... I don't know. [ And it scares her, more than anything. ] The man is said to be a prophet, and I know he has no real powers like that, but... he always seems to know things. It's as if he understands me better than I do myself.

[ Also, he's my father. ]

I would never accept the position. Not willingly.
