XX1: Getting to Know You

That debacle was pretty much something out of an extra terrestrial movie where various sentient beings are abducted from their home planets and jam-jarred for observation. The subjects are convinced that their confinement is inescapable, gradually assume complacency, and adapt to their new lives under the oppressive scrutiny of a humongous totalitarian microscope. They eventually all but forget Big Brother's watchful eyes behind concealed cameras recording everything down to the minutiae of their daily lives, and any genre-savvy movie enthusiast could easily tell you what's soon to follow.

It's actually not half bad. I'm sure someone out there has had it worse.

Let's get down to business. I'm taking a roll call.

Are you saying no one has cast suspicion on the unusual circumstances surrounding our arrival on board the USS Chicanery?
It seems that my fellow passengers have already become relatively acquiescent despite their tyrannical plight.

I have been here for a few perigees and have yet to see anyone that I have become close to. In fact, I have yet to meet anyone from the same era I arrived from, despite speaking of them.

We all have questioned the purpose of our arrival, but as our captain does not seem concerned about investigating these circumstances, we have made little headway on the matter.

It would be unwise to rule out the possibility.
Nevertheless, it seems that my comrades haven't responded yet.
Either they have yet to see this message, or they just aren't here.
Both suppositions are viable and accessible.
Meanwhile, has anything of cryptic nature happened on board,

I wouldn't think of ruling it out.

That depends on what you mean by cryptic. It is obvious some do not trust the last two original crew members. Winchester seems keen on getting people together that are knowledgeable in combat, having a "Fight Club" of sorts.

The captain's apathy would undoubtedly foster the passengers' distrust toward the crew, but is there any reason to be especially wary of specifically those two?

They haven't done anything to merit animosity or faith.

Despite that, some passengers find them suspicious.
