"People tend to believe in something, whether it's gods, a god, some sort of afterlife or nothing at all. Nothing can be something, can't it?
"In any case, the belief in the soul and that it goes somewhere after the body dies has surprisingly been a subject of interest these last few years. Is the soul a thing that is natural, and can it be created out of something that is unnatural?
"What happens to the vessel once it's no longer occupied by whatever makes you you?"
['You are a vessel. You are born to die.' Those were among the first words she's ever heard, and yet the connotation behind them are unsettling for her now.]
"Is there any place like a Heaven or a Hell for a thing that's not born but made by a person, or is it more likely that we just disappear entirely once the vessel dies?"
[Death had never been a scary prospect for her before. Not when she had something that she wanted to live and die for. She almost misses being empty, when she didn't have to worry about the things she would leave in the likely events of her eventual demise. Everything has an expiration date, after all.
[DEEP THOUGHTS coming from the lounge with booze.]

A war tool intended for high-risk missions. That's the short explanation.
[That and she's a walking powerhouse of energy thanks to some components of her body. That's fun.]

It's unavoidable, sometimes, and all Levi can do is trust that Erwin's pushing him to the most advantageous parts of the board to play his part accordingly.]
I'm familiar enough with that concept- sometimes the short explanation is best.
[Not that he isn't a little curious, but really... Chances are he won't understand much of the long explanation anyway- he's guessing she means a literal tool, not just a figurative one, and that doesn't sound like something he's equipped to wrap his head around.]

[Trying to explain everything to some people tends to result in dead-eyed stares and confusion, and she has a feeling that Levi wouldn't have any of that.]
Agreed.
Don't understand much of the details either, to be perfectly honest. Just that vessels like this one were made to imitate, have human memories and experiences, but -- as mentioned before, was created only to be like-human.

It was successful enough, I guess. I wouldn't have thought to question your origin.
[She's a little more subdued than some people he knows, but nothing that'd have set any warning bells off.
...He may have to start paying closer attention to things like that, actually. Just for his own comfort, so he isn't caught off guard next time.]

[Don't try to throw her though. Not unless you can easily lift 300lbs or something.]
Am trying not to be a danger to others, though. [Since that was a point she had to make to a kid recently, who seemed a little worried about that kind of thing at first.]

I can handle myself. ...But I'm not worried about it.
[Not that he knows enough about her to be sure he'd come out on top if they were to clash... But he's a pretty decent judge of character despite being kind of a tool sometimes, and as of now all signs are pointing to Rey as an ally and he trusts his own instincts above almost everything.]
"erwin's fat ass" cvkxjfl levi pls
[As in a survivor type, the ones who don't roll over and die easily. She can appreciate those -- they tend to stick around longer.]
lbr levi's all about that particular bass /o\
[Since he's given her his answer already, and all; while he finds Rey pretty easy to talk to, he's about reached his Daily Social Limit.]
