[ Allison appears on the network with an orange tabby on her lap -- but it's not Spot. He's sitting in the background on the pillow on her bed, looking annoyed and flicking his tail. Seems he doesn't like interlopers. Allison's ignoring his pouting, for now, scratching the other cat under his chin. ]

So I found this little guy on one of my patrols of the lower floors of the ship, and he followed me back to my rooms. Does he belong to anyone? I can bring him over.

[ Allison glances back to Spot. ] I don't think Spot wants a roommate.

Sure, hang on a second. [ There's a bit of shifting, and then -- Jonesy's face is filling about 80% of the screen. He doesn't look happy about it thought. Allison can be heard off screen: ] How's that? Is he yours?

[ Plenty of cats look the same. Ripley doesn't think anything of it when she first sees the broadcast, but after a second glance, familiarity settles in; after what she's been through with that stupid cat, she knows his damn face.

She offers a surprisingly broad smile when the feed clicks on, voice warm and amused. ]

Jonesy, you— [ Little fucker. Is where that's going, but right, kids. ] Is this the first time you've seen him?

[ Her eyebrows raise, the corners of her lips lifting in a very faint smile. ]

That depends. How long has he been on the ship?

Longer than I have, and I've been here ten jumps. I'm not sure who had him or Spot before Carolyn did. Padme was supposed to get him if Carolyn disappeared, but they both did during the same jump.

I can't say I don't mind the company! I wasn't allowed to have pets, back home. We moved around too much.
